Moby's

The views are amazing. And unfortunately that is pretty the end of the positives for Moby's. The food is so-so, the prices are ludicrous (yes, by East Hampton standards), the service is friendly but not crisp and professional. Interestingly to me, the wait staff seem to know that the food is not going to be good and are resigned to it. This one is kinda tough. The views are amazing and the sunset is hard to beat anywhere in the Hamptons. The trick is, you just have to not care about all the things you normally care about in a restaurant. You have to not care that it takes over 20 minutes to get your first round of drinks: the views are amazing. Really a beautiful place on the water and just a nearly flawless ambiance. A bit pricey, but it's "The Hamptons" people.. Food was solid, drinks were good, but the view was unmatched, in the immediate area. Perfect for sunset. Truly magical during that time. 3.5 stars. Too expensive, food is a little bland and service was somewhat aloof, but views made up.
