This restaurant is classy and trendy. It has a beautiful vibe. We had reservations on a Friday at 7 and it was pretty busy. They brought warm bread with oil & olives to the table. So good. We started with appetizers- I had the French onion soup- it was very good. Unbelievable! Hunter is the gold standard in fine dining on Long Island. The incredible interior space is matched by creative and delicately balanced flavors. Everything we ate was exceptional. Hunter keeps the menu up with seasonal offerings. There really is nothing to compare it with. The staff is classy and refined and the entire dining experience is truly a guilty pleasure. Food and service excellent, kid friendly. My daughter wanted Mac and cheese, although it wasn't on the menu the chef made it for her. My little 5 year old said it was simply "delicious". I would recommend Hunter because it was great decadent and family friendly.
