“I recently stayed at the Perch Hotel during a trip to Windham. The views from the main floor and right outside my room were beautiful, especially after the fresh snowfall the night before. The staff (Katie) greeted us warmly and made us feel welcome as soon as we arrived. My room was spotless, cozy, and had everything I needed. Overall, it was a relaxing, comfortable stay, and I look forward to staying here again!”

“We recently visited Tannersville, New York. We had asked our Airbnb hosts to send us a recommendation for a bakery, for a cake for my son’s birthday, and I am So happy they recommended Shandaken Bake! The cake was delicious and super cute too. We knew this was a place we had to come back to - we wanted to try all the baked goods we could. We went two other days in a row, and started off the morning with the most perfect biscuits. Both were excellent, but the Cheddar + Chive Biscuit was extra special. We ended up taking other things home with us both days, and everything was fantastic - the Chocolate Chunk Cookie, the Blueberry Buckle, the Chubby Squirrel, the Chocolate Banana Bread and the Banana Cake. We can’t wait for our next visit to the area because we know there are other goodies that we still need to try. Besides the taste, quality, and presentation of the baked goods themselves, the bakery is perfectly set-up for sitting and eating or picking up. It is a very well thought out space, impeccably designed not only for functionally for food preparation and customer service, but it is also a beautiful space. You have to see for yourself. The owner also couldn’t be nicer. We really enjoyed talking to him, and we appreciate his obvious passion for what he does. Go visit Craig at Shandaken and experience a culinary delight, or two - you won’t be disappointed!”

“We went to hike Kaaterskill and stopped here twice. Not only was the service fast and the food yummy, but they were so hospitable. The first night they helped us get oriented to the village and gave us a run down of what was open/closed/available. The second day, after a couple issues (had some hiking gear stolen), they fed us on the house. It made our day a little bit better and that’s what life is all about. Highly recommend to anyone passing through. These are some good people all around.”

“My sister and I had dinner at Prominence a couple of days ago. What an enjoyable meal! The food was wonderful, with generous portions. I had the swordfish special and the fish was very fresh! The Burrata Mozzerella appetizer was delicious, as were the rice balls. My sister had an appetizer special (fried pork belly) and linguini with a variety of seafood in the sauce- also delicious! The service was great- our waitress was Lydia- very prompt and there when you needed her without hanging over us. We would highly recommend Prominence!”

“I can only say good things about Fellow. I love their breakfast sandwiches, and their cinnamon rolls are the bees knees. Any and every-time I’m in the Hunter area I have to stop here and grab a meal. Highly recommend this gem of a spot.”

“This French bakery hidden in the heart of Windham NY. The pastries are delicious. We make sure gave we go to the bakery every year when we come up for our family trip. This year we tasted an assortment of cakes, his quiche, donuts and his gluten free cake. You have to try it when you visit Windham mountain.”

“Celiac accommodating and aware! used a separate pan for my daughters eggs and toasted her toast on the grill to avoid cross contamination in the toaster and griddle! Priceless knowing my daughters meal was safe. absolutely delicious..she cleared her plate! gluten free rice Krispy treats too!”

“Cutest little shop on our trip to the Catskills! They have a little bit of everything, we were able to get fire starter, cold drinks, and baseball caps to commemorate our trip. They also have a cute little icecream window and it was superb! I had mint chocolate chip and brownie batter and my partner had vanilla and they were stellar ✨”

“This is my favorite pizza in the United States! The crust is exactly right: not flat and also not deep, and with just the right texture - a tiny bit crisp and also dough-licious, the sauce is distributed the way I love it. The onion, mushroom and green pepper are fresh and not overly-portioned which would make it soggy, but just the perfect amount. I just enjoyed four slices and had to say thank you!”
