About Barthel's Creamery

Barthel's Creamery has been an Ellenville landmark for 70 years, offering a farmer's market experience with fresh fruits, vegetables, homemade pies, and excellent frozen meat. The staff is friendly, and the market is neat, clean, and organized, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Visitors can easily put together a gourmet dinner party from the variety of products available. The garlic-stuffed green olives are a must-try, and the market now even accepts credit cards. Barthel's is also known for its ice cream, featuring five different flavors of soft serve, including vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cotton candy, and pineapple. The strawberry soft serve tastes like real strawberry, not artificial. Prices are on the higher side, but the soft serve is considered the best among local shops. The ice cream stand has a charming old-fashioned feel, complete with handwritten signs. The menu includes unique flavors like rum raisin and mango lasso. Customers can enjoy sandwiches that come with a drink and either chips or house-made cucumber salad. The chicken and blue cheese sandwich is particularly praised, and the cucumber salad is a refreshing summer choice. The overall experience at Barthel's Creamery is highly recommended, with many visitors eager to return.

I'd love to be able to review their ice cream, but I wasn't able to purchase anything. The place is cash only. Blue Devil's Dairy down the road accepts debit/credit cards. As does the Panda Parlor in Liberty.

The corn was amazing tasting. The nectarines are sweet as hell, but I won't be coming back. The nectarines weighed out to $10.49 a basket. I only got 8 nectarines.
Was there last week and a pint of grapes were $9.50, totally ridiculous.
