“Its girls day out last night and one of the girls recommended this restaurant . From Tim(frontman), and Shaun(cook) to the food was super. So far Ive been to 7 Filipino restaurants in the city their food is the best, the serving are huge and cheaper. Kudos guys and Pls visit them you wont regret it 10/10 rating“
“Came here twice, and loved it both times. The dishes we ordered were Liempo / Pork skewers (least favorite), sizzling buffalo steak with bone marrow, bone marrow salpicao, miso cod, truffle mushroom tofu sig, and the Gugu express.Favorite dishes were sizzling buffalo steak and bone marrow salpicao. Both of their marrow dishes are absolutely delicious. Also recommend the Gugu express for vegetables.“
“This Place is great! Food is delicious and tasty. We got the Beef Pares and the Beef Mami. The beef pares is really tender! And bone marrow that comes with it is also delish. Garlic fried rice is amazing. My suggestion that would make this Beef Pares perfect, is adding some kind of vegetable, on the side, to help cut through the savoriness of Beef. Perhaps some Garlic steamed bokchoy, or some atchara, or even just some tomato cucumber salad. Also, maybe giving the option for just plain steamed white rice would be great too, since the sauce of the Beef Pares is so delicious and you would want to pour it all over some plain white rice.Beef Mami- perhaps some crunchy chicharon toppings on top for extra oomph!service- greeting your customers as they walk in, would be great. Since there isn't a sign that say "seat yourselves" at the door. The setup of the restaurant and the vibe of the place definitely is for a "wait to be seated" kind of dining. A Simple Phrase such as "welcome, for how many people?" would not hurt. Acknowledge the presence of customers coming in; otherwise, they will be clueless and would feel unwelcome.Iskrambol- love it! I was really excited to see it on the menu!“
“I made a reservation as I know it can get packed. We got seated right away and multiple servers were available and checked on us constantly (without being annoying). I really enjoyed the food. The flavors were perfect! Will definitely return!“
“Diana and her Little Chef team catered a few 60 person events for us. She was so easy to work with, and her team is really great as well. We did a cocktail reception with passed hors d'oeuvres, and her food is delicious. She will work with you on a menu within your budget and dietary restrictions, and it really feels like Diana and her team care about the success of your event and making sure all goes smoothly. I can't recommend her highly enough!“
“Another day, another HAPPY, satisfying, GOOOOOD, DELICIOUS meal! Renees do not disappoint when it comes to their food & service. This is my go to place every-time. Worth every dollar. The place really brings you back to the Philippines with their Christmas decorations.“
“Ate here twice last weekend. We are hooked! The pork and vegetarian spring rolls are great, the pork and chicken entrees are scrumptious and the baked goods / desserts are outstanding. I can't wait to try the eggplant entee and dishes which come with garlic rice. Extra kudos for the staff. Service was amazing. Our new favorite restaurant“
“FOB brooklyn is your hub for authentic Filipino flavors. They serve wide range of dishes from Filipino BBQ to classic comfort items. We start with Tuna Kilawin and sisig for the appetizer, the fresh tuna paired with taro chips offers a unique burst of flavor, while the sisig boasts a perfect blend of sweet, salty and vinegary goodness. For the main courses, my favorite was the grilled spare ribs and the Liempo, it was so delicious. And of course we have to get the special Filipino dessert called Halo Halo. It’s loaded with tasty toppings and crowned with creamy ube ice cream. It’s the sweet ending you deserve. At FOB , it’s not just about the eats- it’s also about the good vibes and friendly service.“
“Flavorful and satisfying! We started with the Callos, which combined a slightly sweet delectable sauce with astoundingly tender chopped tripe (I would liken it to a savory marshmallow, almost). The chorizo and garbanzo played their part serviceably. We followed it with the Uni Palabok. The uni and caviar were very tasty, and it was nice to try quality ingredients. However, the relative intensity of the sauce somewhat drowned out the more delicate flavors of the uni and caviar.(From my wife who grew up eating Palabok, it is *extremely* elevated)Our last entree was the Lengua de Champinon, and it was phenomenal! The tongue was expertly cooked and wonderfully tender, and the creamy mushroom sauce was a great pairing for it.For dessert, they don't have it listed on the menu yet, but they had some Tres Leches cake available. The cake was perfectly saturated with milk sauce while maintaining it's form, and instead of the standard whipped cream, it had meringue on top which was quite interesting! It was a bit pricey, but the menu is online so that's no surprise.“
“We have been going here for years. Now it is part of our week we have dinner there. The staff which has been so loyal and consistent are lovely, the owner is lovely, so happy this place and these people are right in walking distance to my house. Now the food, it is so tasty and fresh, just yum. <3“
“If you’re a vegetarian or vegan I highly recommend the brunch bowl with vegan chicken tenders! It comes with sliced tomato’s and cucumbers and the BEST garlic rice I’ve ever tried in NYC. It also comes with hot sauce to dip your tenders in and it’s fantastic. I asked them to add a scrambled egg on it and it was the cherry on top. They happily obliged :’)Their iced oat milk latte was decent but not the best I had. I will be back for that brunch menu again though :)Overall great service and great food.“
“Wow, this place was incredible. They serve incredible French press coffee and have a large selection of expertly prepared Filipino desserts. We got a mango souffle, mango creme brulee, and the ube tiramisu. Each was so delicious and the textures were so smooth. They also serve hot food but we didn't order any.I highly recommend this place for cheap delicious treats.“
“Amazing Filipino restaurant in Queens. We ordered tapsilog, tocilog, batangas style lomi and ube coconut bar. They were delicious and very affordable. We also ordered bangsilog to go. THE UBE COCONUT BAR IS SOOOOOO GOOD! Will definitely come back and try the other food on the menu and the ube coconut bar again!!!“
“This cozy little place has the biggest flavors in the city. I've been here several times and had delicious meals on both occasions. The first one was a completely new experience for me: eat with your hands Filipino style. The food was terrific, and the staff helped everyone feel at home. The second was a typical sit-down dinner and also did not disappoint.Check them out if you're looking for authentic Filipino flavors, friendly staff, and good vibes. Thanks, Henry!! xoxo :)“
“So I ordered two trays of a variety of skewers. Everything was absolutely amazing ? ? ? Extremely delicious ?.They were so helpful and so friendly. I was attempting to fill up my sauce cups and my hands were filled with bags and a worker went out his way to help me fill my sauce cups and even wrap them in plastic so they wouldn't spill. Everyone please try them asap, This establishment is amazing ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️“
“Tried this spot today. The halo halo was soooo good! Seriously a good value for the quality you get, with all the various toppings. I can’t count on one hand how many toppings I had, it was delicious. Staff was also so kind :) can’t wait to come back with friends to show off my find“
“came here after work on a Thursday, first time having filipino food and did not disappoint! we got the lumpia, pork and squid sisig, and chicken wings + spaghetti for 4. was the perfect amount of food and we did family style! the service was fast, they were very attentive to our table :-).“
“Best Filipino food in New York City. I have been coming here for about 12 years now. Pork bbq is amazing. Kare kare is great. I always try to order turon if it is not sold out.The price is amazing for the value you get.Parking: Parking can be tough but not bad on Sundays“
“I’m giving them a whole 5 stars bc as a Filipino kid, raised on my dad’s cooking the food here fulfills my cravings. I love their longsilog, and life hack: get a side of spam and banana ketchup and make the ultimate bite on your spoon. Their ginataang langka is as close to homemade as possible. The staff here is so kind and welcoming. Also, grab a bag of mini pan de sal on the way out!!“
“This is a great neighborhood spot! The food, drinks and service are all great. We had the crispy pork tacos with the peanut sauce, beef and tomato tacos and the shrimp crisps. All flavorful and unique in both texture and taste. For drinks we had the ube pain killer and the mezcal kalamansi margarita. Great happy hour too with nice friendly vibes. Highly recommend!“
“I had been feeling both physically sick and homesick, and decided to give Grill 21 a try on UberEats because they serve lugaw (definitely a go-to). I had tried some Filipino spots in Manhattan, but hadn't been too impressed. That was until I tried Grill 21. This is the most authentic it gets on this island. While eating here, Manhattan might as well be the 7,002nd Philippine Island. I ordered the Lugaw Tokwa't Baboy. The flavors, the spices, and textures all worked together to bring me back to my Lola's house. My housemate also tried their grilled pork belly meal, and let me tell you - that meat melts in your mouth. Absolutely delicious, and the big servings are truly Pinoy. Once I'm healed, I definitely need to try the Sizzling Sisig next.“
“I've been eyeing this place for a while now, but I'm glad that I got to try it out. It's not a large place, and there's no restroom for customers to use. The server is super busy, but I don't think you need another person as it has its lulls and is too small for someone else to roam around. For the food, there were so many things to choose from, but I was in the mood for a stew. I got the special ox tail Kare kare with garlic ride. I first wanted the ox tail caldereta, but there was a mix-up. It was very filling, and the shrimp paste with the garlic rice hit the spot.“
“I was afraid to order The Purple Yam Cake with Ube filling because We use to order for my Sons birthday yearly from other place that closed I thought he would be disappointed but let me say it was better ,the Best version of this cake we have ever tasted We loved it Thankyou so much will be back for more ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“
“The food is really good. I ordered sizzling sisig plus sago't gulaman. Even without the egg in sisig, it was still tasteful. Portion is also big enough for the price. Service crew was so excellent, very cheerful, lively, and approaches you with a smile. Ambience was just OK. One minor thing, was that I ordered a to-go which was ginisang sitaw at kalabasa but they gave me pinakbet instead.“
“Very welcoming environment with warm staffs and it feels like home! Affordable newly batched cooked food served in huge portion! Thank you for accommodating and entertaining us in our 3 days of stays in town! We are definitely coming back! :-)“
“Went with friends to share the Filipino cultural food experience! They all loved it and enjoyed the very delicious food. Everything was served hot, and service was fast and friendly! Eunice, Val and Micah had given us our most favored kamayan experience we’ve had in NYC. I loved that they prepared the tables when we got there so it was fresh for us to dig in.“
“A restaurant with cafeteria-style service offering an extensive variety of options. The food was extremely affordable and absolutely delicious. It truly provides great value for your money. The staff here was very friendly and accommodating. The interior was spacious and practical. We had the pork sinigang, fish stew, papaitan, pork inihaw, and leche flan. We ordered more dishes, but I forgot what they're called. Overall, I highly recommend this place for a quick and inexpensive meal.“
“Ive ate at this bistro for a few times already. Foods pretty decent, service was good as well as the atmosphere. Consistency is the key, sometimes the food didnt taste the same like the mongo and ampalaya, the veggies wasnt soft enough to my liking. But overall theyre decent.“
“If you are craving Filipino food, this is the place. Went on a weekday after work for early dinner and the place was almost empty. Ordered the lumpia sariwa, the lumpia Shanghai, the ukoy, the barbeque pork skewers, the crispy pata, the tuna belly and panga, the ginataang sitaw with calabasa and okra and the pancit bihon. We definitely got excited ordering as all that food was for a party of 3. The food was really good. My favorite was the lumpia sariwa, the ukoy and the crispy pata. We went home stuffed and with a lot of leftovers. I would definitely come back and I highly recommend Tito Rad's.“
“This would be my second time coming here the span of two weeks. really loved the food and the ambience, definitely a nice intimate spot for a quick lunch or dinner. The staff was very accommodating & the vibe was very calm. I wish there were more items on the menu but other than that I have nothing bad to say.“
“Small restaurant with delicious food. Lumpia, pork belly and chicken chosuey with garlic rice filled our tummies. There are about 5 tables and I do not believe they serve alcohol. Owners are very sweet and the restaurant is clean. Food is cooked fresh so may take slightly longer than expected.“
“Best Filipino restaurant ever! I go food shopping in Elmhurst very often and saw this place is on the way. I decided to try and this place is one of my favorite restaurant since. Food is great and server are friendly, happy and polite. The restaurant actually expands to another room and has bigger space and table. When the restaurant is busy, you will hardly see the server because they are running around doing stuff.I love Dasilog (brunch menu), Deep fried milk fish with garlic rice and fried egg.Tosilog (brunch menu), Sweet red pork with garlic rice and fried egg.Bistek Pinoy, beef sauteed with onionSisig Bangus, chopped crispy milkfish with onion and seasoned.my favorite desserts are Halo and Leche Flan.“
