1157 is the Best! Not only does the Chef, Andy prepare fabulous food, the wait staff is very knowledgeable and friendly and can help you make choices that will really suit your tastes. The Lobster Bisque I had for Valentines was Fabulous and Andy’s soups are always hearty and satisfying. This is truly a fine dinning or anytime treat in Elmira.
We go to 1157 North for most of our date nights. The food is delicious, fresh, high quality and always has a twist that makes it unique. The staff is warm and friendly, as are the owners. You’ll find Joe behind the bar (he makes a great old fashioned) and his wife is usually going around mingling with the customers. The prices are very reasonable and the portions are usually spot on.
