Restaurantji's Farmington guide: Where to find the best Mexican flavors.
“Was in the area on Black Friday while shopping. Wanted something better than all the chain fast food that saturates the area. We were excited to see Puerto Rican dishes on the menu, and ordered the ‘Burrimofongo,’ which is a burrito that uses a layer of mofongo instead of a tortilla. OMG was it delicious. And huge. The two of us split one and left satisfied. With only one visit I can’t say if the rest of the food is this good, but I bet it is. Clearly made fresh ‘with love.’The space and atmosphere are typical of a small strip mall restaurant. Not fancy, but clean, bright, and cheerful. The woman who took our order wore a big smile and was pleased to receive our compliments when she came to check on us.We can’t wait to go back.“
“I have been to a lot of Taco Bell’s and I think this one is up there as one of the best. I never order drive thru at Taco Bell because I like to customize my order a lot, therefore I cannot attest to drive thru wait times. Very clean inside, staff were nice didn’t seem to overly hate their job. Somehow the food I got tasted fresher than normal so that was a real plus in my book. Ordered inside and got my food in like 6 minutes so no issues on time either. The soft potato taco was Better than mostVegetarian options: You can make the menu all veggie options and easily customize things to be vegan or vegetarian“
“If you are looking for solid authentic Mexican food, without the americanized spin, this is the place. Friendly staff and food that will keep you coming back. They really are an asset to the community, but would travel a fair bit to experience this real deal. Other Mexican places in the area and we love them too, but Eli reminds me of being on vacation in Mexico and grabbing a meal on the corner. So good.“
“Fantastic people and food. Food was prepared and to our table fast and the food itself was perfect. Josh, our waiter, was very nice and had a great attitude the entire time. They even gave my wife and I free dessert for my birthday. Would definitely come again!“
“Beautiful atmosphere. Great service. Everything was clean and neat. The food was served in a timely manner and was delicious. Loved it. Had the Birria tacos. Tasty. Great portion sizes. The refried beans had flavor and everything was delicious.“
“First time here and it was a great experience. Quality for price is evident by its popularity with families and young adults. I had baja fish tacos and partner had chimichanga. The meals come with chips and salsa. We both thought the generous portions were absolutely delicious. The salsa was nice and spicy, all ingredients were fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend for casual, high quality Mexican.“
“What an amazing first experience! Fresh made chips and the salsa was not too hot but just had the right amount of spice. Everything I tried was authentic extremely delicious and cooked to perfection will definitely be back again! I wish this place many years of success.Vegetarian options: There's also a few vegan options. Which I was quite impressed with I'll try that option next time. To see on the menu that was awesome“
“My buddy received a BOGO Facebook coupon and we decided to give this place a try. We were NOT disappointed! I had the salmon soft flour tacos and my buddy had the shrimp with the crispy corn tacos. They were delicious, well made and worth every penny. If you're looking for some great Pacific Coast Mexican food, I'd suggest you give this little gem a try.“
“Very cute low key happy hour next to the fairport canal. I met a friend there the other night for a drink and shared entree. We opted for the nachos with Shrimp. They were pretty good. Pretty garlicky. Big portion. Definitely enough for the two of us. The chairs at the bar are a little small but we did love the atmosphere. I would go there again because I do love the location.“
“Stopped in for a late lunch. Plenty of seating. No wait for a table.I had the Monte Albany burrito with steak. Good size burrito and lots of steak.Service was good, attentive waitress. Worth a trip back.First trip - I had takeout. The chicken soup is always excellent. Lots of chicken, love the avacados they add. Burritos are very good. Would like a little more cheese on top.“
“I have been on the hunt for mexican birria tacos for a few weeks now. I saw this place was in town and had them but unfortunately when we ordered, the birria tacos had previously been taken off the menu, which is understandable. This restaurant is run out of Star Cider, which is a bar you walk up to and order. My partner and I went when it was a bit busy. There is a lack of a line or stationary cash register to order at, and this seems to get confusing for the person taking orders at the bar, rightfully so. All of the staff members were very friendly and efficient, and the food is fairly priced; $40 for an appetizer, 2 entrees, and a dessert. We waited about 10 minutes for our food, while two toddlers were running around the restaurant screaming, rolling around on the floor, and climbing all over tables. Obviously this wasn't Star Cider's fault, and i'm sure the employees aren't allowed to intervene, but why allow little babies to run around like this at a bar for adults? The interior of this place is one big open room, full of stone and metal, so all sounds are amplified, including the metal chairs that scrape on the floor. After taking all of this in, we decided to take our food to go. Once we got home and ate it, oh my goodness. BEST mexican food i've ever had. I won't be returning to dine in- however, I will 100% be getting food from Nenos again.“
“This is my favorite Chipotle location. They have generous portions and everything is always accurate on pick up orders. In person the staff are always friendly and very quick and seem to have a great rapport with one another. The overall attitude seems positive and cheerful. You can tell the management values their employees and takes the time to train them and ensure adequate staffing for busy times of day.“
“Despite price increases nationwide I will have to say that NEW YORK is probably on the list of least inexpsenive fast food restaurants. I want to start by saying this location in particular knows fast food. This is the only taco bell that is consistent and has high quality standards. Anything you get here takes like it is hot, fresh and crispy etc. It doesn't matter what is orders all food is fresh anytime of the day. That standard usually only applies only during peak hours. Highly recommend this location and avoid other taco bells“
“Everytime ive ordered theyve gotten my food to me in a timely manner and never forget or mess up ingredients. A lot of taco bell locations ive been to have, but theyve been a trusted location for me. I dont eat meat anymore so I typically sub meat for beans.Vegetarian options: Veggie power bowl, fiesta veggie burrito, cheesy bean and rice burrito, cheese quesdilla, potato soft taco, black bean chalupa, cheesy gordita crunch sub meat for beans or rice.“
“Having lived all over the country in the past few decades, and having eaten at countless Taco Bells over that time, this is the single best one I've ever been to. From the staff, to the cleanliness, to the speed and accuracy of orders, I've yet to find a single thing to nitpick about. Truly a top notch location!“
“New name and building but it’s the same great food and people. We’ve been twice since they’ve been open. Always very accommodating with our picky kids. If you’re going at peak dinner time (especially Friday or Saturday), be sure to use the online wait list. After almost a year, we can stop looking for a replacement Mexican restaurant“
