“Mexican food is our family’s favorite cuisine, and this is honestly the best Mexican we've ever had. I could live on the rice & beans. It's a hole in the wall place, and the food takes foreverrr but so worth the wait. Just one guy working front of house and cooking, and he's so nice!“
“Unassuming stripmall location belies the extraordinary tacos within. We tried both specials - birria and diablo, 3 tacos each - and ate in store. We were not disappointed: they came out hot, juicy, and loaded with flavor. Thr extra soup with the birria tacos was a nice touch. And the chorizo in the diablo special was the perfect amount of spicy. Congrats to owners and workers alike, they're on to something!“
“Very nice decor inside the restaurant. Chicken and beef fajitas were good but lots of onions and peppers compared to the amount of meat. Guacamole appetizer was good but looked a bit small. I think it was the dish used because it lasted longer than I thought it would.“
“It was our first time dining in Nosh, We loved the location, tucked in a corner of downtown Rochester NY, easy parking, no traffic, the restaurant was like a warehouse style, the sound echoes back big time, so inside the restaurant there was big noise pollution. The waitress was good, the food was good too. A drink , cowboy hat or something, paired well with my seafood, a coincidence. It was two birthday celebrations. First time experience, reservation, required a deposit of $ 200, my , my my. Overall a good place to dine.“
“There were hardly any vegetarian options and none vegan ones.We ordered Street corn and a burrito ?.The corn was pretty good but the burrito lacked flavor. The complimentary salsa and chips was very nice ?Vegetarian options: Not a lot, just 5-6“
“Nice little dive. After our museum trip we were starving! Needed to find a place that offered vegan/vegetarian options and this fit the bill. Upon entering we were greeted by the bartender and then seated. Our server was super sweet and made sure our cups stayed full.I had the shrimp tacos, wife had the vegan Mexican plate, one kid had the enchiladas, one had the cheese quesadilla and the other had a beef quesadilla. As an appetizer we had the chips and salsa, We all really enjoyed them, they were seasoned and delicious and the salsa was a chunky obviously house made version. What was left my son ate with his quesadilla.Dietary restrictions: They offer vegan “meats” and cheeses.Parking: Parking is right beside the building.Kid-friendliness: They don’t have a kid menu however they do have high chairs.“
“WOW! Excellent service, delicious food, fun decor ... what more could we ask for! My husband and I visited on a Taco Tuesday and our server Hannah was amazing. We started with house margaritas that had a sugar rim. They were very refreshing and there were fresh blueberries in his drink. When we asked for a sampler of dipping items for our corn tortillas, Hannah was quick to let us know she would "hook us up with all the things!" The kitchen did not disappoint. We had hot, melted queso; salsa Verda and Roja; along with guacamole. The street tacos were also filled with flavor and my personal fav was the Al pastor tacos. We got the special deal of the day which was 4 tacos for the price of 3. It was memorable and we would highly recommend! Viva Taco Tuesday!“
“I'm so very picky when it comes to Mexican. It's by far my favorite food and this food is delicious! I got 3 beef enchiladas and rice/beans. It has an addicting taste! Food prep & Delivery was smooth and quick! I'm so happy I decided to try this place!“
“Best Mexican food in Rochester. There's a large bar when you enter the space and the margaritas were excellent. The dishes from the appetizers to the desert had a tremendous amount of flavor. I would highly recommend this restaurant and will be back.“
“We've been meaning to check out Aguilera's, so glad we did! We got delivery through GrubHub so we still haven't been in to eat, but the food was absolutely stellar. We ordered basic chicken tacos, birria tacos, and el pastor tacos - chips, salsa, and a couple of churros to top it off. Everything was outstanding. Crazily enough my favorite thing was the rice and beans that came on the side. Typically a "filler" dish, the rice and beans was absolutely stellar -the beans part was more like a thin sauce, but it was so flavorful I will definitely be ordering extra next time. Everything was really flavorful, well seasoned, just a damn fine meal.“
“We visited Rochester from Philadelphia for a family event and were blown away at how good the food was here! The space has a nice vibe to it as well. The Baconita burrito is hands down the best burrito I have ever had.Do not sleep on their sister brand Madd Macs either. We opted for the classic mac and loved every bite! Will definitely be visiting here again!“
“Love all the colors and Mexican style decor. Went here for lunch with a friend. The service was kinda slow but the poor girl was working 2 roles, Hostess and waitress. We felt bad for her. Anyways the food was outstanding. They put on the table chips, salsa, refried beans with pico and Mexican cheese. It was really good. This place is the only place that does this. Usually it's just chips and salsa. I got the fajita chicken quesadilla and added pico inside it. It was amazing. This quesadilla was huge. The chicken was so flavorful, it came with peppers and onions. There was flavor throughout it. It was so big, I had ended for 2 meals. I got a strawberry margarita with coconut rum. The flavor was good but it was all ice“
“I felt like I hit the lotto when I saw this place and pulled in for a closer look. I've been there several times over a month. Best Mexican food in Rochester. Found out they have three locations and I see why. Street Tacos omg. Chix/shrimp w sauces and sides off menu blew my mind, who are these people ! Lol. Runs like clock work when really busy with happy employees with no bad attitudes anywhere to be found. Presentations are amazing. Kitchen is run with serenity and good taste and excellence to quality and perfection and I am the pickiest foodie in town. If I have 4 million views on my photos on Google Maps and they read this I suggest everyone stop by and enjoy these magically chefs out. Peace. Tom Wedeman here reporting from East Ridge Road :)Parking: Looks packed but it's a big place inside so you will get a spot so go in .Wheelchair accessibility: Yes“
“Los Gallo's is our favorite restaurant in the Greece area. We always love going here whenever we are in the area. The margaritas are amazing as is the excellent, service, and phenomenal food. You are always waited on so quickly with a warm smile from all servers. The food comes to your table so quickly stating with chips and salsa which they refill if you like. The desserts are incredible especially the fried icecream which is fun to share! Definitely go to Los Gallo's as often as you can. You will be treating yourselves like kings and queens every time!“
“Our server was an absolute sweetheart. He knew exactly what to recommend on the menu and went out of his way to make sure that we enjoyed our meal. The atmosphere is also incredible. I loved the detail on the Frida mural. We will be back, for sure!“
“My new favorite spot food is always good comes out quick. There allot of drink options to choose from and all the ones I’ve tried have been great. And the service and atmosphere and what really won me over 10/10 experience underrated place to eat at in Rochester for sure !“
“Obsessed. I love this place so much. My favorite order is 3 carnitas tacos. I love the cheese dip. I don't think there is anything bad on the menu, but the tacos are heaven.Kid-friendliness: My son is a picky eater. They have a kid's menu with chicken fingers and french fries that is (unsurprisingly) excellent. There are other items on the kid's menu also.“
“I came here last night for the first time with my girl friends and it was so good! I got the taco salad with brisket and it was HUGE and probably one of the best salads I’ve ever had. Chips and salsa were delicious and our waiter Ben was a super nice, helpful guy! Definitely will be back!“
“Nice place. Amaizing food. As a Mexican food offer, not to much selection of food, but the ones were very tasty. Alcohol was a varierity of coctels some good and others not so good. Atmosphere: place is pretty in the inside but music was not so good.“
“This is by far the best Mexican Restaurant on the West Side! We visit this location rather frequently, and are always greeted with the friendliest staff who bring us amazingly delicious food. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a divine Mexican meal.“
“My wife and I have been enjoying JJ's for about 5 years now. Every time one of us is in the area we coordinate a pick up. The garbage plate is a Rochester area culinary monster that has found its way into hearts and homes all over. Jose Joe's twist is the garbage plate burrito and it's amazing - deep fried in a tortilla. You have to try this place, its incredible. Also portions are large - which is one of my favorite aspects of any meal.“
“Carne asada was amazing! Calamari was cooked perfectly, and the gnocchi was to die for! Highly recommend! Staff was friendly and amazing and very on top of everything, if i could give it 10/10 i would! Thank you for an amazing meal also the atmosphere was perfect!Wheelchair accessibility: A ramp for wheelchairs!“
“Definitely try the burrito with pork carnitas (if you've no moral or religious objections to eating pork or meat). Full of flavor and value for your buck. Maybe some facilities TLC to upgrade the experience.Parking: Small lot but people are in and out pretty quickly. Large lot not far away if smaller lot is full.Kid-friendliness: I saw high chairs“
“This place was great. Food was very tasty. Drinks were excellent. They screwed up one order but made up for it enthusiastically. The ambiance was cool without being pretentious. Small place but that was part of the charm. It was packed. Would definitely go back.“
“Pretty solid Tex-Mex. It doesn't stand out as better or worse than, say, Moe's or Chipotle. It's a really great dining option for RIT students. You don't always get the opportunity to eat a variety of fresh veggies on a college campus.“
“Best happy hour ever since the pandemic. Came here on Friday at 5, and enjoyed $2 beers, $4 margaritas, $3 guacamole, and $5 half order wings. Happy hour is in dinning room till 6 pm too, which is rare. Food was great too. Loved the wings and Crunchwrap. Ended up spending $50 before tip for our date when usually we’re spending $100 on a Friday night. One of our couple friends we early done with on Fridays will be going with us soon!!“
“First let me say I equally enjoy all 3 locations, the food is always great, made with fresh ingredients, good portions and prices are appropriate. I love that there vegan/ vegetarian options.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options in each section“
“The last time I went, the girl had so much patience with me it was a nice change. Usually I have someone who acts annoyed that I ask even one question so I was thankful for that. The order is never correct if I order more than a couple things. Always forget my cheese for the chips & cheese or any side dips needed.“
“So, so good! Parking lot behind restaurant, super cute casual spot for tasty, authentic Mexican food! Everything we ordered was delicious. We had the birria tacos with sides of rice and refried beans, birria quesadilla, Mexican bowl, elote corn (a little too sweet for me), horchata drink, hibiscus Agua Fresca, and tamarind agua fresca. After we ate we shared a piece of flan--outstanding! Cannot wait to go back frequently. Owner Jesus and the other male staff (I didn't get his name) were beyond friendly.“
