Best escargot, wonderful drinks and food
Had a wonderful party for my parents last night. The upstairs rooms are perfect for our group of 30. The food was wonderful and the staff was attentive. Thank you to Dan for all the help in planning and execution.
Truly exceptional evening. We came up for our SIL's birthday - all 24 of us, and were delighted from start to finish. Carb cakes, tenderloin sliders, bruschetta and a vegetable platter were our apps and were fantastic. Maryland native here so I am tough on crabcakes. Even the vegetable platter was a work of art and had a few different choices! Arad Evans Inn is a beautiful place with a warm atmosphere. The service was lovely, and the staff was friendly and helpful, even during busy times like hosting a wedding or watching the restaurant become busier on a Friday night. The cocktails and wine were excellent, and the homemade Torchio and Rigatoni pasta were delicious, as well as the Halibut and Pork Chop dinners. The crab cakes, tenderloin sliders, bruschetta, and vegetable platter have also received high praise, with the vegetable platter described as a work of art. Guests enjoyed the happy hour deals on drinks and tasty appetizers. Some dishes like the onion soup lacked depth of flavor, and the risotto was mushy. One guest found the pasta a bit lackluster, especially when ordering a more buttery sauce. The duck breast was overcooked, but the shaved vegetable salad was very good. Desserts like the seared foie gras with roasted peaches showcased the pastry chef's creativity, praised by a recent guest. A young boy with a steak was well attended to, and the staff’s patience made the experience enjoyable. The meal options and service made for a memorable visit, though there is concern about the Hospitality Charge policy affecting servers' tips. Overall, Arad Evans Inn offers a delicious dining experience with room for improvement.
