“We got out of the car and the owner was sweeping the floor right. Well he told us he didn’t have no ribs. But he had that chicken! Boy oh boy was it delicious!! We were treated like family as soon as we walk in. He gave me a sample of their fresh homemade coleslaw and by far best I’ve ever had. We walked out of there with full belly’s and our names on the wall. We will never forget about our experience! Recommend everyone to give it a try who hasn’t!”

“It is weird but I stopped eating bagels because (to put it nicely) they stopped me up. Monticello Bagels does not do that. Next: Their everything bagel does not seem SUPER SALTY like everywhere else. Next: They have gotten a little smaller over the years. I would love if they put them back to the size they were 7 years ago. Next: The breakfast sandwiches are great.. The tuna on bagel is good. Next: I think they don't put enough lox spread or cream cheese. I like it to be more than a thick smear. People say he has the best coffee. I believe LaChula in Liberty Mall has the best Columbian Coffee. OVERALL: I 💘 MONTICELLO BAGELS. I have been going here for about 20 years. When I lived in NYC area, I used to come up house hunting in Livingston Manor & would stop here. I don't live so close anymore but everytime I am in the area, I usually stop by. I now have a gluten allergy & still consume one anyway. I always get mine toasted & to date I haven't found a better bagel in NYS.”

“Awesome bakery, authentic and as good as it gets. A remark, however on the apple and blueberry turnover:: Barely any fruit inside, like a thin schmear of jam. Totally wrong fruit to pastry ratio, I ended up not eating as the pastry shell was also bready. But the rest of my selection was so good, still 5-Star overall on this last visit. Turnovera aside, got a nice bag of goodies for $20, great by weight and taste!”
