Chu Kee Dumpling Reviews
It's a take out place, crowded with Asian of course. They have THE BEST hot and sour soup in NYC, which tastes the same with proper ingredients in my 40 years since my college years. I love their salty soy bean milk also which I like. Of course everyone comes for its pan fried dumplings, which wins your thumbs.
The shop mainly sells Northern Chinese wheat-based pastries and dim sum, including dumplings, potstickers, steamed buns (mantou), leek pockets, scallion pancakes, and filled flatbreads. They also offer soy milk and tofu pudding.
The food is consistently delicious and authentic, and the prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!

At Chu Kee Dumpling, guests can indulge in a variety of traditional Chinese breakfast dishes at an affordable price. The restaurant serves glutinous rice balls, soy milk, fried dough sticks, and fried rice noodles, which evoke a sense of nostalgia. The pan-fried dumplings and cabbage and pork dumplings are juicy and savory, with a nice dumpling skin. The breakfast options also include sweet and salty soy milk, unsweetened hot soy milk, steamed plain buns, and mung bean soup. Located in a small alley, the cozy restaurant is cash-only and bustling with activity in the mornings. The food tastes relatively old-fashioned, and the prices are really affordable. Friends who like authentic Chinese snacks can try their pot stickers, boiled dumplings, or takeout meals. The hot soy milk is the most genuine one, freshly ground and not watered down. It’s a small shop that has been open for decades, offering simple and fast service.
