El Itacate is a small, charming restaurant that offers an authentic Mexican dining experience. The menu features a diverse selection of traditional dishes, including the highly praised pork pozole and chile relleno, which guests describe as delicious and true to the authentic Mexican flavor. The restaurant also receives positive reviews for its chicken in mole poblano, as well as its chilaquiles and tamales, which are considered the best in the area. The place is very small but comfortable, and in cold weather, they offer coffee, chocolate, or dough atoles of different flavors. The food is good, fresh, and affordable, and they also have a mini bakery. The chef is often seen dining with his family, and the staff is friendly and helpful. With a cozy and traditional atmosphere, El Itacate provides a pleasurable dining experience for those seeking genuine Mexican cuisine.
