Recently ordered takeout from Long Yu Seafood Restaurant, an authentic Wenzhounese restaurant, and everything was absolutely delicious! Unfortunately, I didn’t get a chance to photograph all the dishes, but the food was definitely worth sharing. I mainly ordered from their lunch specials because the value is honestly incredible. Great family-style Chinese restaurant with excellent value for food. Fresh and well cooked with good portion sizes.

Long Yu Seafood Restaurant is an authentic Wenzhounese restaurant in Flushing. Wenzhou is a coastal city in Zhejiang Province known for its seafood-focused culinary traditions, where freshness and the natural flavors of ingredients are especially important. Alongside its regional specialties, the restaurant also offers familiar dishes from other Chinese culinary traditions, making the menu wonderfully diverse.
The lunch specials offer incredible value. For just $11.48, each lunch special comes with rice and a comforting tea tree mushroom and abalone soup (茶树菇鲍鱼汤). The #54 for lunch at $11.98 is tremendous. Golden double egg fried rice is sizzling with flavor on a big big plate, accompanied by a complimentary tea pot. Lunch take out is only $8 for 3 choices over rice. The portions are generous, the flavors are authentic, and the prices are very reasonable.
Dishes include 豉汁桂花鱼 (Steamed Fish with Black Bean Sauce), 葱爆牛肉 (Scallion Beef), 笋尖肉丝 (Shredded Pork with Bamboo Shoots), 回锅肉 (Twice-Cooked Pork), 清炒时菜 (Stir-Fried Seasonal Vegetables), 海鲜豆腐煲 (Seafood Tofu Casserole), and 金沙虾球 (Golden Salted Egg Yolk Shrimp). Other favorites include Wenzhou rice noodles, beef with bitter melon, lobster salad, fried tofu with conch, and boiled mussels and clams. The majority of tables have the twin lobster special for $29.98. $3 Corona beer is available.
The vibe is a refreshing change. Guests are welcomed with a warm cup of tea and a delightful plate of pickled vegetables paired with a mix of nuts. The food is beautifully presented and packed with rich, vibrant flavors. The staff is friendly, and the service is attentive. The restaurant accepts both cash and credit cards.
