“This was my first flushing BBQ cart and I can definitely say I am now hooked and will be trying others. I had just left Izakaya Nana and Jue Wei cart's skewers are imo on par with those of expensive restaurants. The menu was STILL so extensive at near closing time (12:30 AM). $2 per skewer was so reasonably priced. The level of spice and smoky flavor was pretty much spot on to what you would get in China. If it's late at night, park on Prince St as there were nosy traffic cops snooping around 39th Ave.“
“We were visiting Flushing and noticed this food truck when we walked by a few times after 5:30pm-6pm. Finally had a chance to try it and wished that we did it sooner, not on the last night of our trip. The name is labeled incorrectly and should be Ajiang BBQ instead. He took his time with the bbq, the seasoning was right on and spicy! Most items are $2 with some at market price. We tried the squid ($5) and really delicious! Give him a try and you’ll be glad that you do. Starts at 6pm though.“

“I came here a couple times now and had the Taiwanese sausage and some other items. Everything tastes amazing and is always served hot unlike some other places in Flushing that serve similar style food like meat buns or beef pancakes or dumplings. I really loves the pork and scallion meat buns here. It had the perfect amount of juiciness, not dry at all and full of flavor!! I highly recommend this place and I’ll definitely visit again!!“

“Located in front of Paris Baguette, the BBQ truck has some of the best skewers I've ever tried. They transport you to the heart of Xinjiang with its local flavors, grilled in front of you. My two favorites were the lamb and beef skewers, and the chicken skewers were also very delicious.“

“Some of the best halal food I’ve ever had. My go to, regular spot (3x a week or more): he’s fast, very friendly, and very affordable, and I couldn’t ask for more. You aren’t going to get this quality, friendliness, or prices at any other place. You need to make a stop and try his food and meet him. 5/5 hands down“

“The food here competes with the very best spots. The meals demonstrate evident superiority. The staff showed consistent table awareness. The design choices here are refreshingly unique. Really happy with my meal. I can't wait to return for other menu items.“

“There is no lack of Souvlaki restaurants in NYC, let alone Astoria, but Christos Souvlaki Stand stands out.
Your basic choices (as I understand them) are- skewer, sandwich, or platter. Then you choose chicken or pork. While your order is being assembled, a couple of additional questions: hot sauce (say yes, it’s not that hot), BBQ sauce (say yes, it’s not what you think), and “everything”? (Also say yes, as this includes Tatziki, lettuce, onions, and tomatoes.
I ordered a fantastic pork souvlaki sandwich (with all of the above). The pork had just the right amount of char and smoke from their natural charcoal, but it was still juicy and tender. The fresh pita became a sponge for all the delicious juice that needed a home before my belly. I had to take it home, but you can see its ample size. In total, I think it was $7!
If you need to get on the subway to come here, do it. It’s totally worth it.“

“A gentleman was outside the truck assisting with ordering and payment. We ordered quesadillas (middle picture) & a tlacoyo (1st picture). He let us know they have different cook times and asked if we wanted everything served together or as it was ready. Food was great! Not too heavy or greasy. The quesadillas are handmade tortillas that are thin, light but pliable and filled with a small amount of cheese and your choice of filling. They are topped with crispy, refreshing lettuce and crema with both green or red salsa on the side. The tlacoyo was a thicker tortilla with melted cheese and filling inside and again topped with refreshing lettuce and crema and salsa on the side. We sat on the side where stools are provided. Great food and friendly service.“

“I got a corn drink-no se como se llama-that was really good and a majorette that was to die for. I was told this is the best spot for habichuelas con dulce. That being said, I guess it is not for me, then. Nonetheless, I highly recommend this place ?“

“Most authentic Jian Bing you will find in America. Hot, fresh, aromatic, and delicious - you will not regret trying it.
Cash only spot, line can get kind of long. My favorite is the plain egg one without any protein add on. This is the authentic way to enjoy it, if it is your first time I’d recommend this version. That being said, it is hard to go wrong with added protein.“
