Zi Wei Xiao Chi Reviews
I tried all the buns except the vegetable and they were very delicious, although the flavors were pretty similar because they are all pork. The price is also very good, less than $5 for a 6 piece of smaller sized buns or $2 for a big sized one. My favorite was the pan fried pork bun
Just know it is cash only!
Authentic and great value
Affordable and tastes good

Zi Wei Xiao Chi (滋味小吃) is a small, no-frills mom and pop's restaurant located right at the popular Kissena Blvd/Holly Av bus stop, specializing in Fujianese (FJ) cuisine. It offers a range of affordable and authentic FJ dishes, making it a go-to spot for those looking for a cheap and satisfying meal.
The menu features various breakfast items, such as the delectable fried taro cake and fluffy small steamed pork buns, which are customer favorites. For lunch or dinner, the oxtail noodle soup is a standout, with its hearty beef broth, napa cabbage, celery, and cilantro. However, the quality of the noodle soup can be inconsistent, as the amount of oxtail and the overall taste may vary.
Despite the language barrier for non-Chinese speakers, the restaurant is known for its friendly service and authentic flavors. While it may not have the frills of a high-end establishment, Zi Wei Xiao Chi provides a genuine and budget-friendly dining experience for those seeking a taste of FJ cuisine.
