After looking at many places on Columbus that just didn’t thrill us, we were SO happy to find the incredibly delicious Mexican cuisine at Nina’s last night I had the Cochinita Pibil (with an orange habanero salsa on the side that will let you know who’s boss…) and my old friend had Enchiladas Mole with chicken. Excellent and authentic food with warm, friendly staff, and a great bar selection with many tequilas. Nina’s is great! Reasonable too! “Great neighborhood bar. They recently changed a lot of the staff, this is not common for a neighborhood bar, but it “corporately owned, they have 8 other bars in the city. I like it before 10-11pm and during the week because the weekends have that “bridge & tunnel , young & drunk” energy. If it’s one of those nights you want to dance or “go big” rather than “go home” it has a DJ’s and a variety of music. Tuesdays I’ve seen a live band that was really good. It’s a fun place. Wade, one of the new bartenders is awesome, and a girl with straight blonde hair, I just can’t remember her name at the moment. They work together on Tuesdays. Their food comes from Gin Mill, their sister bar down the street. Their tater tots are really good, chicken tendersare decent. Their food in general is pretty good and decent prices.“

The place is a very well decorated sports bar. Has happy hour for food and drinks MON-FRI 12 -7. We were served by a very friendly waitress. The small portion of wings comes with 8 pieces of correct size. The buffalo sauce is very successful style (or is) Franks Red Hot wings. They were juicy. Our rating is: 7/10. “I am Happy to say I was introduced to The Woodlot thanks to a Yelp event. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service, I declared that I would definitely return.

A couple months later a fav and I decided to stop in after an event. Upon walking in Amanda (co-owner/partner) greeted me by name. What? How in the world did she remember me by name? That’s wild and the look on my face expressed my utter surprise. We all burst out in laughter.

Just like the first time we grabbed a seat @ the bar. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the space. It gives spacious elevated comfort, if that's even an interior design thing.

Amanda was just as sweet and attentive as before as she managed to take care of everyone solo. I told her I returned like I said I would to try their wings and another cocktail off the menu.

My fav and I both opted for a couple of the FOCO U Martinis. For wings I went with the Honey Garlic and my fav went with the Classic Buffalo. The wings were fresh and hot, I can’t say for sure if they are the “Best Wings in Queens” just yet. They were good however, I need to try them a couple more times before I can decide.

Amanda thank you for your amazing service and impressionable personality. I think I found a go-to spot in Woodside.

They do not offer ranch with the wings, only blue cheese (yuck). TBH its not needed the wings can stand on their own.“

“I came back to Tap House on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. The bartender was super friendly. I ordered a burger from the brunch menu, which was delicious by the way, and she replaced the tots with fries and since brunch includes a drink she included the beer I was already drinking (brunch menu only had mimosas, screw driver and a couple other drinks, but beer). Fries were also delicious! Nice ambiance music and friendly patrons. I will definitely be back! Parking isn’t easy but you can find metered parking. Be careful if you park near the residential area because some streets are private and they can boot your car.“

I asked if the manager could take off 10.00 as 20 wings was 30. n change and I couldn't even stomach those wings. he told the waitress no flat out, didn't offer to even remake or select another flavor.. when I asked her if I could speak with him directly bc maybe she didn't convey my disappointment well...she said he'll come over. waited 25 minutes...I watched him do everything he could like fake clean the bar fake busy start fake conversations to never come over to our table. when we just decided to leave...he had the audacity to say have a good day adding insult to injury. you would think if a combined tab is near 200.00 you would be more accommodating and hospitable. this was by far the worst city restaurant experience. no way this mediocre establishment is 5.0 stars. I will be going on every review platform to share my horrible experience and share among my fellow bloggers to avoid this establishment at all costs. Never again!“

“This is THE place in Williamsburg to watch soccer or other sports too. Just a solid spot with lots of big screens and delicious fish and chips and other bar food selections. “Drove past this spot around 1:30 am and decided to stop in. Seems like they were closing but they welcomed us in anyways. This place is VIBES OKAY ! we stayed for about an hour. Had a hookah and some margaritas. The hookah was eh but them margaritas was hitting. Ok. Strong drinks. Shoutouts to the bartender. I think the name was Steph. We met the owner and chef.
