Grew up on Carvel, I get some every time I'm in NYC.
Beyond being a well run Carvel with delicious ice cream, Dan and his team set the standard for customer service and consideration. A perfect example of what a small business/neighborhood establishment should be.

They are especially attentive to customers with allergies and work hard to ensure orders are correct. A popular request is for Carvel to open a location in Destin, Florida. The flavored ice cream is a favorite among customers, with many fond memories of growing up with Carvel. Although there was a recent shortage of mint chocolate chip ice cream, the friendly staff made the visit enjoyable.
