Great food
Great service
We have been coming here since the late '80s and it is still our favorite seafood restaurant on the island (The steaks are excellent too). The staff is always very helpful and the service is consistently excellent. Highly recommended; you won't be sorry you came here.

Nautilus Cafe on Woodcleft Blvd near the water in Freeport remains a favorite spot for many. The seafood is excellent, particularly the steak on Wednesdays, which is the best rare bone-in prime rib on Long Island. The atmosphere is lovely, whether at the bar or a table with a water view. The service is top-notch, with servers like Christian ensuring a pleasant dining experience. Recent reviews highlight the excellent food, with guests praising different meals, including the clam and jumbo shrimp appetizer, steamed lobster, and halibut, all of which were wonderful. Diners also enjoyed sharing appetizers, along with soup and salad, before savoring entrees such as grilled swordfish and branzino specials, often accompanied by wine. The restaurant can be busy, but the service remains attentive, and guests appreciate the relaxed pace, often staying for hours. The fixed price menu on Tuesday and Wednesday is a popular deal, adding value to the enjoyable experience. The only minor downside mentioned was the unexpected country pop music playing during meals. Nautilus Cafe continues to be a go-to spot where every visit is a pleasure, and it is recommended to make a reservation due to its small size.
