This was my first (and probably last time) eating at this restaurant. My fiance had eaten here years ago and said it was good so she took me here for my Birthday dinner on 3/8/24. So for the atmosphere it's small, crowded and loud. The service was OK, not top notch but not terrible. Now for the food. I don't think there is anything that was made fresh. We ordered the spaghetti and MEATBALLS for her son, he got a bowl full of spaghetti and ONE MEATBALL. My fiance ordered tbe prime rib with lobster tail. The prime rib was cooked to order, but half of it was FAT!! The lobster was cold when it came to the table. For myself I ordered the seafood platter. The fish was nothing more than a processed patty, the shrimp ? was greasy, which I have no idea on how that happened. We ordered a slice of apple crumb pie to bring home. I was really hoping it was homemade, but it is straight out of a box. Like I said I don't think there is one made fresh item on the entire menu. For $112 I expect more. Very expensive for the quality. I've spent $150 at other restaurants but it was well worth it. C&R is nothing more than a diner. So disappointing for a first visit.UPDATE AFTER C&R RESPONSE 3/11/24: #1 Your menu says SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALLS!!! #2 Your response reads more like an advertisement than it does an actual response. So you serve 1000+ guests a week and this server remembered us? I don't believe that for one minute. I stand by my review!! I'm not going to go back and forth, I know homemade apple crumb pie, and what we got was NOT close to being homemade. I wish you luck and continued success with the locals, for me it was my first and last visit.

The wait staff and everyone there treat people like family a very nice atmosphere and the food is wonderful...never leave here hungry...highly

Love the wait staff and atmosphere! Food is tasty, sometimes leaves a bit more to be desired like added blue cheese crumbles or specific sauce.

I never complain! but after years of ordering spending a lot of money it is disappointing. Food was terrible! Use to call to place order weekly but food n service has declined. Several times I placed an order to pick up and the lady that answered was very busy and very rude. Its ok to be quick to take an order, but not rude. Dont answer the phone if there is no time to take an order. No reason to be put on hold or talked over or be interrupted while in mid sentence, then hung up on multiple times. I was cut off and put on hold. Food was terrible, not to mention the blood on the reciept in the bag with the food. Today we spent $72, burger buns were so hard, not toasted hard, but, old hard. Burgers were burnt , meat tough, couldn't eat it. No gravy on side for 2 of the fries and 1 had gravy on it instead of on the side, no dressing for the salad, Fries were cold and stuck together, no pickles. I usually just call and missing items are replaced or poor items credited for future, but I'm tired of the rude behavior and then to get food that can't be eaten and blood on the reciept. After years of spending a ton of money to support a local business to be treated like an inconvenience and then given food to prove that it doesn't matter, gets old!
