We had a great experience dining at Akbar. We came here on the Sunday for Mother's Day and were very excited to try their brunch menu. Unfortunately, when we got there we found out that it was a brunch buffet so we didn't get a chance to try the menu. It also was very busy so they had set up an overflow room that looked to be part of their banquet area. The set up was very similar to an event and didn't feel very much like a restaurant and was way too loud. Thankfully...

Akbar never ceases to deliver wonderful food. What really adds to the evening is the awesome attitude of the serving staff. I highly recommend Akbar if you are in the mood for a curry. You will not be disappointed!

By far one of our favorite restaurants on Long Island. The new menu with everything clearly marked what is gluten free is a game changer and helps us feel safe to eat here. The staff and the atmosphere are amazing and the food is simply delicious.
