Once the staple of many small western Long Island towns - there were a handful between Glen Head and Sea Cliff alone - few remain.There has been a deli in this location for decades, and while ownership has changed, the menu is just as diverse and flexible as those of 50 years ago.Their Reuben is delicious. The roast beef hero, excellent. Hot soups, good coffee, a nice variety of sides (i.e. coleslaw, potato, egg salads), rolls, and pastries. Their breakfast egg sandwich on Kaiser roll is as good as they get. Classic New York.The service is friendly, efficient, and kind. Give 'em your business - You'll be happy you did.“

My recommendations would be semolina bread in exchange for Italian bread.

“Came to New York from Florida and was on the hunt for an authentic deli for the famous BECSPK and came across brothers deli.
Upon walking in, the young man at the register was dealing with a customer fighting over 5 cents trying to scam the store. I watched it all unfold. The worker kept his cool, stayed firm on his response and professional.
Even after the customer left he didn’t complain about the interaction! I like that!
We joked and talked about visiting home ( NY) after being away for many years and the nostalgic candies we saw waiting.
Needless to say, we came back almost daily for their breakfast. Absolutely perfect, they accommodated our allergy request and was greeted with a smile and nice conversation each time. There is something special about knowing your value in a store and they definitely made us feel welcome, for a little corner deli, They are making a nice footprint in the community!
We would love to comeback and say hi during our next visit!

“Places like this are why I say Long Island NY has the best food in the world. The staff looks and acts like they're focused on quality food and service. The deli itself is clean and organized. Get one of their sandwiches (I recommend corned beef) and for about 12 bucks you have a fine lunch or dinner.“

“Tried Mike's for the first time after passing it by a million times. I was very delighted to say the least. I ordered the chicken cutlet club sandwich, and I was told it would be a few minutes because they make the cutlets fresh. Something you don't see often. “Right across the street from the local 711. They have everything the 711 has except in some instances cheaper. There is never a wait and due to the fact that it is "mom and pop", they go out of their way to cater to your individual needs.“

“Around 1970 or so, there were two delis on Jericho Turnpike, Johnny’s and Werner’s. (honorable mention to Ardito’s, which is still there and apparently still owned by the Ardito’s). I noticed Werner’s was still there. Werner must be about 100 years old by now. When I checked it out I learned Werner’s isn’t really Werner’s anymore. I read a review that said the new owners would have made Werner proud. I have to agree. A little less emphasis on salads and catering, but great selection of specialty sandwiches, excellent fresh bread and rolls, and fair prices.“

“I started going to Jim's in the early 90's. This would be the spot I would hit with Uniondale natives Leaders of the New School before hitting Chung King Studio in NYC to be deafened by Busta Rhymes turning those 15 inch studio speakers up to 10 🤣.

My go to was the hot pastrami on a hero. I didn't think it was a better sandwich in the world.

As the years went on, I still visited this deli. It always was a familiar neighborhood staple. It even kept the same aesthetic.

What was super impressive is they knew the regulars by name and what they wanted to order. All you had to do was show up.

I visited today and was hit with a whole new Jim's. The old cash register on the left is now a hot food station. Said cash registers now on the right with an LCD readout.

There is a coffee station in the middle of the floor. Chairs and walking space occupied this space prior. This now places a wall in the middle of the floor. Although it disrupts the Feng shui, clearly a functional because there's a lot of coffee options. That goes great with the bagel and pastry selections that have been added as well.

They have seem to expanded those pastry options. As well as added fresh bagels at 12 for 9 dollars

The worker that helped me today was very attentive and a Uniondale native as well.

The new owners kept some familiar elements like the extensive custom sandwiches brightly displayed on LCD screens. But a lot of it has changed and the new owners definitely made it their own.

It's nice to be greeted with a bright and clean establishment that sells food. That is one of the things I look for.

I will definitely visit again and see it It lives up to that Jim's legacy“

“The food is always fresh and hot. There omelets and home fries are delicious as they are full of flavor and you can tell they use fresh ingredients. There french fries are delicious I didn't need any ketchup. The quality of the food is great as well as the portions. I find the staff to be very friendly. This is a terrific place to get delicious food.“
