If you’re anywhere near the Kadampa Buddhist Temple, make World Peace Café part of your Sunday ritual—you won’t regret it.

Start your morning with a peaceful walk through the many paths around the temple grounds—whether it’s a short 5-minute walk or a 40-minute nature hike, the surroundings are absolutely breathtaking and grounding.

From 2 to 3 PM every Sunday, there’s a World Peace Meditation Free and open to all. It’s the kind of reset your soul didn’t know it needed.

Then, treat yourself at World Peace Cafe—a peaceful café nestled in front of a serene pond. Whether you sit inside or outside, the atmosphere is calming, and the drinks are phenomenal. My favorites are the chai latte, the long fog, and hands down the best turmeric latte. Pro Tip: You can have them all cold.

Make sure you don’t leave without trying the vegan sweet potato brownie 🤤 and the World Peace muffin—both are vegan and absolutely delicious. There’s also Wi-Fi if you need to catch up on anything while soaking in the views.

“What a wonderful experience tonight! I read a review earlier today that mentioned the Chilean Sea Bass. Hubby had never had that dish and was happy it was a special tonight. “I have been here many times and love the atmosphere and have been coming here regularly for their wing night. Tonight they failed. I ordered a dozen wings and sat down with friends that were not eating. My ticket time seemed to be taking a while so I started paying attention to other orders. Dozens had been served that ordered after me. After 45 minutes I approached the bar to ask for a refund. A person was requested from the kitchen to help me. I asked for a refund for the food I hadn't received. She questioned if I had received anything at all. I told her no as the wings were all I had ordered. I showed her my receipt and pointed to the table I was sitting at. She glanced over to it and voided the transaction. I felt as if I wasn't believed that my order really did not come out. The order was all of $4 and some change, even if the wings came out raw I would have just not eaten them and left. I would not have asked for a refund but not serving anything at all I believe a refund is just. I really do like this place but dont like the feeling of not being believed. I did not receive an apology either which would have been proper.”

Last night for Valentine’s Day my wife and I visited the restaurant for the first time We ordered one of their Valentine’s Day special offers. “We are visiting in the area and had dinner here - the garlic parm crusted haddock was super flavorful and came with mashed potatoes and delicious sautéed veggies. My daughter loved the Mac and cheese and the cheesecake was also very good. The owners/staff are very friendly and helpful, this is a little gem for sure.”

“Excellent stop for a cold, summer treat! The young people working always seem like they are enjoying themselves, and the strawberry/peanut butter milskakes is The Bomb (my family says the other stuff is delicious, too!). If you're in the area, definitely stop for a treat. It's worth the wait if there's a line!!”
