love this place, but Jesus Christmas, that kitchen door squeaking is terrible. Please for the love of God get some WD-40.
Had a 2 hour drive and wanted to eat somewhere nice..... this place felt like home and the staff was awesome!!! Food was tremendous!!! We will be back and thank you!!!
my boyfriend and I went there today earlier and ordered food but Tavern fries weren't fresh and seemed reheated a little bit so I'm not happy about that and was expecting fresh hot not half cold . But the rest were good.

DownTown City Tavern is a locally owned restaurant known for its great food and service. The atmosphere provides an old pub vibe, making guests feel right at home. Dining in or getting takeout offers a consistently good experience. However, parking in downtown Glens Falls can be challenging during peak hours. Despite this, the prices are reasonable and the portion sizes are decent, earning the restaurant an overall score of 4/5. The staff, including the awesome server Jaimie, is noted for being patient and knowledgeable, enhancing the dining experience. Wheelchair accessibility features a good ramp, though the entrance door is not automatic.
