“These wings are delicious and I was very impressed... Usually when I bring wings home from any other spot, they're soggy. But this wasn't the case and after about 45 minutes of driving I came home and they were all crispy and fresh and the sauces were great too.... I enjoyed every last one of them....“

“The sandwiches such as the chopped cheese, lamb cheesesteak, and gyro was good. The tostones need seasoning with pink sauce, curly was well seasoning and delicious. The turkey bacon double cheeseburger was good. The pizza roll is terrible it is crap wrapped in egg roll shell. I rather get some real pizza rolls in a pizzeria than eating that garbage again. The service was okay however, when I tell the Muslim brother that rum raisin ice cream is haram because of the rum he acted all nonchalant about it. This is a halal restaurant no alcohol in all forms should not be allowed. Astaghfirullah to brother. The atmosphere was small people coming in and out there is no room to dine and enjoy the food so I glad I ordered to go.“

“A really great BBQ experience. We've been driving past this place for years, never had the opportunity to stop in. Today we made a special trip just to check it out. Well worth it! Had the ribs, chicken, and shrimp combo with q side of beans and potato salad. Oh, and cornbread. Chicken and ribs falling off the bone, no need to use the knife. Shrimp are nicely sized, and coated in an excellent cornmeal batter. Sauce on the ribs and chicken is sweet and smoky, exactly what my ideal barbecue sauce would be. The wife had the pulled pork sandwich platter with a side of mac-n-cheese, all of which were excellent. The platter came with a tremendous amount of fries! This is a counter service establishment, and the girl behind the counter was upbeat and very friendly. The atmosphere is like of one of those Memphis homes that was converted into a restaurant; small amount of seating, and comfortable and friendly. Ok, one thing, no sweet tea available, but some Snapple tea with lemon is an acceptable substitute. Definitely coming back“

“I went to Kingston today ordered 4 louisiana rub and 4 Lemon pepper with the fried corn it was amazing!! The man who cooked my food name was WEEKEND!! “Went for Halal and Those small wings. Food was good. Wings we received were not what we wanted. Ordered 21 wings but they weren't the spicy ones we drove 30 minutes to get. The Halal was good as well. Only thing was we couldn't get a combo of meats (chicken and lamb). Also we didnt get white sauce as expected. Next time we know to request hot sauce and white sauce. As for the inside very small space. Probably 8 to 10 people at time in there. Surely couldn't dine in if you wanted to.“

“I almost never write reviews, but I felt compelled to after meeting James, the new owner of this Korean fried chicken spot. James is a sweet older gentleman who genuinely asked me for feedback. You can tell he truly cares about the food and his customers who order from the store.

The crispy boneless chicken is my go-to with the sweet and spicy and soy chili garlic sauces, which are both full of flavor and go really well with the pickled radish.

It’s also super convenient.. place your order, do your grocery shopping, and by the time you’re done, your chicken is hot and ready to go. It’s become an easy and reliable part of my routine.

I’ve also ordered for Super Bowl Sunday and casual takeout nights and it never misses.

One quick note about the person taking your order at the counter.. they aren’t an employee of the business. They work for the supermarket and take orders for other food vendors inside. So if the service at the counter ever feels rushed or off, don’t let it reflect on this business. The owner and the food absolutely speak for themselves.

“Decor probably hasn't changed in 40 years, which is part of its charm. Really good food (try the chicken scarp), and drinks. Prices are as low as you can get. If it's crowded expect a very slow kitchen.“

“We’ve been having a rough week and needed some comfort food so we wanted to stop by one of the first places we randomly tried when moving to the area a few years ago. We each got the 10 piece boneless wings and made them curly fry combos. I got the honey bbq and my bf got the oriental sesame. Both flavors were really good and portions were pretty large! We called ahead and the order was ready in about 10 mins. The inside isn’t necessarily not nice, but it’s not really a place I’d want to hang out for a while. I’d recommend ordering and taking it to go. Overall the food was really good and the service was quick so I’d definitely go back!“

Ok, we sat down and waited, being very, very hungry. He told us explains that he makes you wait 30 minutes. “This small spot would be bustling with street traffic from the local Mount Vernon government staff at lunch to the barrage of kids getting out of school needing a snack if it were not for COVID. According to local long timers, this place has been around for a while. On recommendation I tried the grilled chicken and rice platter. The chicken was fresh, hot, juicy and tender with fluffy seasoned rice underneath and a cool basic lettuce and tomato salad off to the side. All packed neatly in a styrofoam carry out box. The cucumber sauce is worth requesting extra on the side. You'll thank me later. The owner seems to always be there and is quite personable. There's also a little Jamaican booth right inside the store. They seem to stay having business. I hope both spots can withstand the effects of the city shutdown and lack of customers. I'd hate to see them close like many of their neighbors.“
