“Stopped here on a whim, as I was making a delivery in the area around lunchtime. I am very glad I did. I got the cheesesteak hero and an Arizona tallboy for a sawbuck. The cheesesteak was phenomenal, served piping hot on great bread. I wish I took a pic, but, the scent enticed me into a devour trance. 10/10, I would recommend. Also, very friendly and fast service. Adding this gem to my lunch spots.“

“The owner(scott) is what keeps people coming back. Just today while I waited Scott:

1. Gave back 20 dollars when a kid had overpaid thinking he paid 40 instead of 60.
2. A mom came in and paid for her order because her son had come in earlier that morning and picked up food without any cash.
3. Told two long time customers no charge - the deli accidently made the sandwhiches on rolls instead of heros so no charge. He had to force them to leave without paying.

This was all within 10 minutes. Hope this place stays in business for the next 100 years. The food is great, and they should do an article on him and this place.“

“I have been coming to Munno’s for over 22 years. I have never had better penne vodka and I travel extensively gobbling up food in different states and in Europe. The staff is always friendly and willing to take an order for a tray of penne vodka to be ready for us the same day. My family is now obsessed with Munno’s as well!“

“My wife wanted to have my 50th birthday party catered, she was looking on City Island where we reside but the prices were out of control. I reminded her of Tinos, where we have in the past got 3 foot heroes and antipasto platters. We called and that was all she wrote! Delivery on time and the food was out of this world!! “So on the outside, this place is not so easy on the eyes. It looks like a halfway shut down makeshift deli. When you enter, there is a narrow pathway to the register but a very big sandwich making area with alot of choices and premium meats. I was super hesitant but with limited time decided to give it a chance, I ordered the godfather on a hero. It was the best sandwich I ever had! They even presented it in premium boars head paper with the boars head sticker! The prices were excellent! Give them a chance! You won't be disappointed!“

Sounded like they had forgotten to check it, I imagine the apps get way more traffic. The pastrami sandwich was 4.5/5, a good amount of meat, nice crispy edges, but maybe a hair too salty on some bites. Paired it with some home made spicy mayo and it brought it to 5/5. Definitely getting this again.The Italian was solid and provided loads of meat. We enjoyed it but personally would have liked a tad more oil and vinegar. We gave this a 4/5.Both sandwiches are so packed that they can easily be split up into 2 pieces (maybe even 3 depending on who's eating it). I would say this has happened with 1 out of every 3 sandwiches I have ordered there and it ruins the sandwich. I feel like I'm taking a risk every time I order. I have also had a really hard time ordering by phone as it's extremely difficult to hear the staff on the other end. They are usually pretty fast, but I would really like more consistency. “Excellent take out home cooked meal style food. I love and buy the salmon piece which is huge and is $8. I also get chicken cutlets for the kids. The cabbage and side items also look good but I just add at home a side and the meal is done. Also the coffee is my favorite in the neighborhood. Muffins melt in my mouth particularly the corn and chocolate chip. They should have more chocolate chip or maybe not bc I would buy and eat it more. There food is great home cooked style for a FAIR price. I’m so glad they are in my neighborhood.“

I have 3 favorites, 2 involve bacon! 😜 Both the Bacon, Lettuce and Tomato Salad ( I had today) and the BLT sandwich I sometimes have for breakfast. I personally don’t know anyplace like this that you can hear the bacon sizzling, cooked fresh, to put in ( usually it is dry and overcooked and time the side). These are in huge strips! Yum!
