“The owner(scott) is what keeps people coming back. Just today while I waited Scott:

1. Gave back 20 dollars when a kid had overpaid thinking he paid 40 instead of 60.
2. A mom came in and paid for her order because her son had come in earlier that morning and picked up food without any cash.
3. Told two long time customers no charge - the deli accidently made the sandwhiches on rolls instead of heros so no charge. He had to force them to leave without paying.

This was all within 10 minutes. Hope this place stays in business for the next 100 years. The food is great, and they should do an article on him and this place.“

“Best deli sandwiches I've tried so far outside of NYC. That being said, there was a bit of a delay with my pickup since I used their actual website and not one of the delivery apps. Sounded like they had forgotten to check it, I imagine the apps get way more traffic. A bit annoying but they quickly made it on the spot and apologized.Anyways, we ordered a pastrami and Italian sandwich. The pastrami sandwich was 4.5/5, a good amount of meat, nice crispy edges, but maybe a hair too salty on some bites. Paired it with some home made spicy mayo and it brought it to 5/5. Definitely getting this again.The Italian was solid and provided loads of meat. We enjoyed it but personally would have liked a tad more oil and vinegar. We gave this a 4/5.Both sandwiches are so packed that they can easily be split up into 2 pieces (maybe even 3 depending on who's eating it). So great option for leftovers.Recommend coming here if you're in the neighborhood looking for a great sub.“

J&G Deli is hands down the best Italian deli in the area! The place is spotless, the food is always fresh, and the service is top-notch. “So on the outside, this place is not so easy on the eyes. It looks like a halfway shut down makeshift deli. When you enter, there is a narrow pathway to the register but a very big sandwich making area with alot of choices and premium meats. I was super hesitant but with limited time decided to give it a chance, I ordered the godfather on a hero. It was the best sandwich I ever had! They even presented it in premium boars head paper with the boars head sticker! The prices were excellent! Give them a chance! You won't be disappointed!“

“It is one of the delis with the best service and whose prepared foods are delicious. You might think that when you see the prices they are somewhat expensive, but once you try it you understand that it is worth it...they are excellent and what's more, I would say that their sandwiches are enormous.“

“I walk by this place everyday and stopped in one day to try the food because I was hungry and just got off the train. I was hesitant at first because I read the reviews and people complained about the food and service. I wanted to try for myself and see.

The place is clean and well organized. They also have plenty of menu items. I ordered the steak and cheese with pepper jack cheese and everything on it and a side of fries.
The cook was attentive and friendly. The steak and cheese was probably the best that I have had since I moved back to NYC.. I just moved from Florida.

The fries were not as good though which is why I took away a star. I love French fries and they tasted like they were warmed up or something. I also bought some snacks and they had some healthy selections for snacks which is a plus.

The cashier was also friendly and also attentive.

Overall it was a good experience and I will probably be back. The location is the best.
My only suggestion would be to elevate the French fries.“

They don’t offer seating inside the place, its ok the quality and flavor of the food really compensates.During summer or warm days they have some outside seating, perfect to slow down and just enjoy the little water fountain.It has customer parking and there is always street parking available.They only take cash but they do have a ATM machine.I usually get the three eggs, bacon and homemade potatoes. I also hear great things about their bacon, eggs and cheese rolls.“
