“This is the best (kosher) pizza in the five towns. The style is thin crust with a great sauce/cheese ratio, compared to other pizza in the area that i find to be excessively doughy and/or cheesey. The one downside is that it's very greasy, like, the napkin dab is a must, hence the missing star. Still excellent. The decor is also a big step up from other places nearby, its much cleaner and doesn't have the cafeteria like vibe that I associate with kosher spots in the area.“
“Best pizza around! All the food is fresh and homemade. Gorgonzola salad is delicious and eggplant is tops. I love Tony’s chicken wings.you must top off your meal with a cannoli. Tony and his crew couldn’t be nicer and always try to do their best. Go, and you’ll see for yourself!. I love this place for takeout!!“
“The service was very good and the staff was very attentive. We received our food quickly and everyone’s entrees were very hot and fresh. The staff is very accommodating. One of us ordered the wrong dish and the manager/owner replaced it very cordially and quickly. He was so nice and friendly. I highly recommend this restaurant. ???“
“Randomly tried this pizzeria, I love trying pizzerias. The food was very good, the restaurant looked really nice and it was clean. It was good but was about a 25 minute (no traffic) drive for me so I will probably not go back but if I lived closer I mostly likely would return. Parking is important and there was a very large parking lot. It looked like it had a nice dining room.“
“We had family visiting from Arizona and thought this was the perfect place to bring everyone. We had a great time and everyone enjoyed their meal. The apps were a big hit....especially the drunken garlic knots and whiskey wings. Had the sausage parm for the first time a couple it was delicious.“
“Excellent classic NY pizza and I've been all over the tri state. I came in with no expectations and gotta I say its one of the top pizza joints compared to Newpark in Rockaway, Lucias Flushing and Amores in Whitestone. Unbeatable 2 slice drink special. Funny italian guys behind the counter who know what they're doing. Places like this are relics. Get em while they last!“
“The meal itself was delicious, we shared the zucchini flowers to start, then I had the brasato al barolo (braised short ribs) with polenta (delicious and terrific portion size).. and then after our meal they brought us cotton candy! We thoroughly enjoyed the whole evening and look forward to returning soon.“
“I took a chance because it had a high rating and good reviews. I was not disappointed. Chicken alla vodka pizza was great. Chicken chunks are really big. I placed my order in the morning, and it was ready for pick-up. Great, friendly service. I will definitely return.“
“Old school NY pizza spot. The first time I tried to grab a slice was too late and they were closing. When I opened the door the smell knock some nostalgia gears into rotation and I was taken back to the daily after school pizza slice trip of my childhood in NYC. I had to come back and try it. When I returned I met the owner who was making the pizza and he was very welcoming and classic pizza guy. Very friendly and made me feel like a regular. Plenty of regulars arrived and they would talk like old friends. So this place is definitely a neighborhood staple. I ordered a regular slice and a pepperoni slice to get a baseline. The regular was delicious and definitely old school, great crust, no flop, and the cheese was not too oily. The pepperoni slice had a bit of flop but was delicious. The slices were a bit smaller than I expected but the price was fair. I paid $8.00 for a regular slice, pepperoni slice, and a can of Pepsi. Cash only spot! I was satisfied enough to ask for a third slice, this time opting for a mushroom slice and it was also wonderful. This place is a classic pizza spot, no new specialty style slices. So no grandma or Buffalo chicken. Which is fine because enough places already do that. The decor is dated to the 80's or even earlier. Which is also fine because this is not a date spot, it is a classic pizza spot, grab a slice and go or sit down for a few minutes and recharge. Come here if you want to walk into the past and taste old school NY pizza with a nice sauce and real cheese. Definitely visiting Eddie again and going to start ordering pies from there.“
“Good pizza, but unfortunately not outstanding or phenomenal for a couple of reasons. I ordered the prosciutto pizza and the sausage pizza here, the wait here was extremely long for me, but to their credit they were extremely busy and working on what appeared to be an incredibly tiny pizza oven, no big deal since I was in no hurry that day. Pizza came and I was excited since I've only tried a prosciutto pizza in Europe. The prosciutto pizza here was eye opening, the combination of their cured meat, parma cheese, arugula and olive oil drizzle was absolutely divine, all the flavors worked in complete harmony and magic that is indescribable. The other pizza though was not as memorable and fell slightly on the more average side. Where both pizzas could have used a little work? That crispiness of the bread just wasn't there, the pizza fell flat due to the sogginess of the bread used to create it. Overall a good pizza spot with a truly great and unique item, definitely would come back to try more of their menu“
“Pizza was good for Long Island. It's really hard to find good pizza in Long Island. Dario's pizza can be compared to L'Industrie in Williamsburg Brooklyn. I went with one slice of pepperoni and a regular slice. They were both good! So if you're ever out on the island, try Dario's.“
“We come here often and the service and food is always good. Tonight was the BEST experience we have had here! New waiter Alex was amazing! He was so personable, so engaging with us, continually making sure we had everything we needed. He also makes an amazing French martini! On top of the amazing service I asked for something that was not on the menu and they were more than happy to accommodate me. I got a pork chop valdostana. The special was veal valdostana but I don't eat veal so they made it with a pork chop instead. To say it was delicious is an understatement. Definitely going back soon especially when Alex is working!!!“
“The service at this pizza and bagel store was truly exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm smile by the staff. They were attentive, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic about their offerings. They took the time to explain the different options and made recommendations based on my preferences. The orders were fulfilled quickly, and the staff went above and beyond to ensure everything was to my liking. When I asked for a special request, they accommodated me with a smile. The team worked seamlessly together, creating a welcoming and efficient experience. Their dedication to customer satisfaction was evident in every interaction. I left feeling valued and impressed, which is a testament to their exceptional service. Kudos to the team for setting a new standard for service excellence!“
“Such a great experience , I ordered a large pie from another pizzeria by mistake went to king Umberto and when I went to pick it up at this pizzeria my order wasn’t there I walked to the wrong restaurant . But for my surprise they said that it happens, they made sure I got a pie within minutes even though there were other customers waiting. The Pizza was the best one me and my family had in a while I guess is because the way I was treated, lots of kindness and respect. I would highly recommend this place,“
“As a Queens local, I think the thing that impressed me the most was the variety of fresh ingredients at a reasonable cost. Their cocktails are amazing. We ordered a tuna tartar special, salad, gorgonzola gnocchi, and their famous pressed veal parmagiana. 2 drinks for each of us and a slice of their pistachio tiramisu. We were so impressed by the staff, asking our names, our allergies, etc. Our waitress Isabella was so warm and helpful with any questions we had. We truly truly were so impressed. We can't wait to return. This place is a must try.Vegetarian options: They would be able to accommodateDietary restrictions: They asked ahead of time for any allergies.Parking: Compliment valet. Appears we showed up before the rush and parked on the street at the meter.Kid-friendliness: Children were dining at other tables. Staff brought over booster seats as necessary.Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to enter. They would be happy to accommodate anyone I'm sure.“
“This is a great place to go out to eat with a group of friends. The portions are large and nicely priced. Drinks were plentiful and there was also a large array of beers and seltzers available for self service. Everything we ordered was tasty and fresh. Would come back again.“
“Great food at a small local place with ambiance... if you can get a reservation. They change their menu seasonally... Their wood fired pizza -smoked mozzarella, figs, prosciutto, arugula, pecorino, balsamic is amazing! So is the octopus//lemon & squid ink bean puree..pistachio gremolata..pickled chiles & red onions..celery! They should have cushions available for their metal chairs for those with back issues.“
“I had an amazing experience at the pizzeria! The pizzas were delicious, with a perfect balance of flavors. What truly stood out was the exceptional customer service - friendly staff, prompt service, and a welcoming atmosphere. A must-visit.“
“I jumped off the Southern State, looking for a slice of pizza. I drove past so many fast food options, but I was determined to get a slice of pizza while I was home on Long Island. I got my slice, and it was good, but the star of the night was the sabich and the spicy bean soup. I was so happy!“
“Recently tried pizza from Enzo's and they were quickly added to our short isr of work lunch faves. They have a great variety of toppings & I think you can make your own pies as well. So far the service (we get it delivered) has been prompt & pies come still hot. What I think makes the pies unique is that they all come with a sesame seed crust! I had never seen it before and I think it helps make it seem youre getting a little snack with your slice lol. Ive tried a few of the flavors so far: buffalo, pesto (ive tried both with the cutlet & grilled chicken and i HIGHLY recomend the swap for grilled chicken), veggie, chicken brocolli & chicken caesar. I think so far my faves have been the veggie (lots of fresh crunchy veg) and the chicken caesar slice. Unlike some other pizza places the veggies dont seem to be pre-cooked which honestly threw me off at first but I actually prefer the crunch of the broccoli and pop of the cherry tomatoes on this pie instead! Definitely will reorder and think its worth a try!“
“My favorite local pizzeria. If you grew up in Queens then this place will definitely give you nostalgia with the decor and counter seating. The inside will seldomly get a little crowded with students or a kids baseball team but the service is still quick and I’ve never had trouble finding a seat. The food is amazing. Pizza, chicken parm, or the sausage/peppers are my usual orders. Been going here almost 15 years“
“This is the best pizzeria that I have been to all my life, good guys, they taught me what their name is, how to pronounce Kerry, they taught this word and it’s interesting, good dishes, the atmosphere is very good, very good, I recommend it to “
“Amazing authentic Italian food in beautiful ambience. Very polite and caring staff. Definitely a Hidden treasure of Island Park that they have written on their canopy. Loved it. Highly recommend to all to have this experience.Vegetarian options: Great for vegetarian and no vegetarian customers.Dietary restrictions: They take care of if you want gluten free etc.Kid-friendliness: Very kids friendly . They have kids menu tooWheelchair accessibility: Main entrance and bathrooms too are wheel chair accessible.“
“3.5 Stars I haven't had a classic NYC pizza in a whileeee so we ordered a large cheese pizza. Even after about 10 minutes sitting in the box, it was still fresh and hot. It's not the best cheese slice but it hit the spot. It had a great thin crust but still held up together easily. It was light on the tomato sauce, which I actually wish there was more, but a good amount of melty cheese with a pretty good cheese pull. The crust was also nicely done. Pretty good pizza joint in the area. I'd get it again if I have a classic NYC pizza craving.“
“I’m tired reading all the criticism about Amore’s staff. It is a hole in the wall pizzeria, and if you don’t want rude, coldness, go to The Four Seasons.I’m 71, and for me the gold standard will always be Glorias. Amore’s pizza is the closest to Glorias I’ve ever eaten.“
“Went to Mangia Bene in Valentine's Day for an early dinner & loved the ambience & service that we experienced. Nicoletta our waitress was soft spoken, knowledgeable & patient with our ordering. We ordered the chicken parmigiana, casarroce di bosco, meatballs, eggplant rollatinis, roasted chicken wings & for desert torta burro. We enjoyed everything including the bar & wine selections. I had a gulietta & Lambrusco.Dietary restrictions: They offer gluten free homemade pasta“
“I had the regular slice, Grandma and Upside Pizza. WOW to all 3. The best one by far was the upside down pizza. The tomato sauce was so fresh. The cheese was amazing. The best part was the crust, it was so soft inside and crispy outside. Phenomenal! Dan L. recommended this spot. Now, I recommend it to all of you. Best pizza in Queens! This is my pizza spot forever!“
“Our goto place when we’re hungry and nothing comes to mind. Where the food is excellent, and there are plenty of delicious choices of pizza and pasta’s, the prices are good, but the employees are all friendly and go out of their way to make sure your dining experience is top shelf. Thanks to allParking: Plenty of parking either in the front or back“
“Great family feeling. Delicious food...owner???.Had my birthday dinner tonight....can't wait to go back!!!!Kid-friendliness: My 7 year old granddaughter Abigail loves it there. She can practice the two words she knows in Italian... Ciao Bella and loves the food“
“Solid pizza and ingredients. We ordered a Grandma pie and a few slices of white and eggplant+ricotta. The marinara and cheese on the grandma were good. The grandma is also 12 slices which is a nice bump in size compared to other shops which make 9 slices pies. My only knock on their pizza is the crust. It tastes like a low protein/gluten content flour, almost like all purpose or maybe a little cake flour mixed in. So it's not as chewy as I think pizza crust should be. That said, it's still got a solid crispy layer.“
“We love this place, it's the only pizzaria in rvc we'll eat at/from! Even though I believe the owner, John is it? Is a Rangers fan he doesn't hold my being a die hard Islanders fan against me! ? Staff is friendly making for a more comfortable atmosphere! My food suggestion/s would be, try it all! Thank you for the service, sys! And remember, the change...has ? hahahaha ?“
“Roman style pizza sounded interesting, so we stopped in and tried some. Very glad we did because it was amazing. We ended up with 4 slices. 2 Roman style, 2 traditional. The Roman style were sausage with broccoli rabe and spinach with artichoke. The traditional were a burrata and vodka pepperoni basil and pesto slice. I can't tell you which was the best because they were all amazing. It was nice to get some slices with fresh greens on them that actually tasted good.I wish I had taken a picture of all the pizza because the variety of slices they had was crazy. Maybe next time I'll get the truffel slice.Parking: Parking in the area.“
“The food at this restaurant is authentically Jamaican. I had a boat ride last year in Freeport, Long Island. The owner/chef not only delivered the food to my boatride but also helped to set up. This is by far some of the best customer service I've ever experienced. My guests raved about the food all night. This review is long overdue and I just realized that I hadn't written one. Better late than never I suppose! ?“
“Hidden gem. Not just a pizza joint. They have lots of hidden options like the Korean Chili Chicken or Chicken Teriyaki. I’ve also purchased delicious naan from here as well. All at reasonable prices and very delicious. I wouldn’t necessarily dine in due to the atmosphere but I always visit because of the quality of food. ??“
“First time buying from this pizzeria and it was great. The staff member in the front was super friendly and kind. She was very accommodating. The garlic knots were so good and the mozzarella sticks were hot and fresh. Glad there is a pizzeria in the area!“
“We have lived around the corner since Sapori's opened and never went in before. Yesterday the rain forced us to venture in and we were so pleasantly surprised, and felt silly for never eating here before. The service is great and the food is delicious and fresh. Some other local spots have drastically gone down hill with their food quality, so it's nice to go somewhere and get an amazing meal that's worth your money. We will definitely be regulars from now on! Looking forward to next time!“
“Clean location, great pizza options, friendly staff. I thoroughly enjoyed the following slices! Brown Stew oxtail Turkey bacon Chicken black truffle Alfredo Curry oxtail Curry chicken Sweet chili oxtail Jerk chicken You can definetly tell that the toppings are seasoned to perfection!“
“We recently moved to Lynbrook and Gallery Four is one of our favorite restaurants for take-out. We order frequently. Our meal comes with salad and bread. Their food is delicious, fresh, and affordable. We have ordered chicken francese, lasagna, chicken parm, penne alla vodka, and garlic knots. Will continue ordering from them and trying new meals. ?“
“Absolutely delicious. The food is fantastic. I had calamari...perfect, Shrimp Francaise...perfect, literally. I had a slice of Margherita pizza at the first bite, I closed my eyes and threw my head back. The staff was friendly and the place was clean.GO NOW?!!!“
“This pizza is good and the 2 gentlemen there, I never got their names but thanks for the knots and that, what seemed like a margarita slice, the pie was fantastic and its pretty inexpensive. Slightly greasy but I like me some greasy pizza so who cares? Get some pizza from there.“
“THIS PLACE KIND OF LOOKS LIKE A LITTLE MOM AND POP SHOP; BUT THAT'S WHERE EVERYTHING TASTES BETTER THAN EXCELLENT; THAT'S WHEN IT FEEDS THE SOUL..I ALWAYS GET THE PIZZA DEALS [ 5 PIES FOR $45 ] AND THE FIRST BITE....... MMMM!!! I'M HUNGRY AGAIN JUST WRITING THIS...(PRICES ARE INCREDIBLY GOOD FOR THE AMOUNT OF FOOD YOU'RE GETTING)“
“This was the 2nd time I have ate here and each time was amazing. I recommend the chicken franchise it was one of the if not the best I have ever had. The chef even took the time to come out and ask us how are experience was. If you are anywhere in the area this is the place to go!! 1 thing is for certain we will be back again!!!“
“Really good and fresh pizza. The crust is perfect and just how i like it. It’s cooked a little more to give it a bit of crunch and the cheese is so yummy. It’s fresh and hot out the oven and the people seem nice. The mushroom topping is a little weird because it’s like full mushroom pieces not sliced or cut like I’m used to. So it gets a little slimy and interesting. Sausage was authentic but definitely try a cheese slice because it really is just amazing.Price was good though it has gone up but inflation I guess.“
“Pizzeria G is a local gem that knows how to serve up some seriously delicious pies. The Portnoy slice is a must-try—it's loaded with freshly grated mozzarella cheese and Sicilian olive oil, all on a perfectly crispy crust. And if you're feeling a bit more adventurous, their Buffalo Chicken slice is a flavor explosion, with tender chicken, spicy buffalo sauce, and cool ranch drizzle.Every pie is made with care and attention to detail. The dough is always fresh and hand-tossed, and the toppings are very high quality. Plus, the atmosphere at Pizzeria G is laid-back and inviting, making it the perfect spot to grab a slice with friends or enjoy a quick lunch during the weekday. The friendly staff and owners always help to meet your needs and show you their favorite slices if you have a hard time choosing from all their options. You simply can't go wrong with a visit to Pizzeria G!“
“Recently ordered a panini, chocolate brownie, and blueberry cheesecake on Uber Eats. The food was undeniably delicious—I have to commend them on crafting the best panini I've tasted in a while! However, there was a slight hiccup in the order—they delivered 2 brownies instead of one, and unfortunately, the blueberry cheesecake was missing. Considering the cheesecake's higher value compared to the brownie, it was a bit disappointing.Despite this minor disorder, I must say the food quality itself was top-notch. The flavors were fantastic. Taking everything into account, I'm rating my experience at 4 stars. The service slip-up aside, the overall culinary experience was truly enjoyable.Looking forward to another order for that outstanding panini, and maybe a chance to savor the elusive Vegan blueberry cheesecake next time!“
“I work at the Goodyear at Lawrence and I usually come to South Shore Pizza on my break. This is not some typical New York Pizza Place. The sauce and cheese has its own unique taste that I can’t get enough of.And I absolutely recommend it you won’t be disappointed!“
“I’m not from this area, but wanted to grab something nearby and someone who lives in the area recommended this place and they did not disappoint at all!!! Customer service was great from the moment we walked in to the place. Anyone in the area should try this place, we’ll be definitely be coming back when we are in the area again.“
“Amazing amazing Amazing!!! I don’t normally leave a review but it was too good to not share my experience. Made a business order it was quick efficient with no headaches.I informed them to write names on the order, came to pick it up, not only did they write it, they placed it in SEPARATE bags and no mistakes on the orders. My coworkers and boss were very happy and pleased. Amazing service and the food was phenomenal! Definitely will be ordering here more often.P.S. the owner she was very sweet and kind!“
“Amazing atmosphere! It feels like i’m at my grandparents kitchen. I feel warm and safe? If that makes sense… ? The chef is so SO friendly and he has given the BEST food combos/recommendations. The bread given here is unique and… my fiance and I found our place. Literally a hidden gem as it’s not as visible as other places and its small. TLDR; the food is AMAZING, must stop by!!! “
““Awesome spot to get something when in a hurry. The customer service is swift, rates are reasonable, fantastic atmosphere. Would recommend to others” ...is it not amazing that 3 different reviews use the exact same wording ?? Coincidence?? You be the judge..“
