“Finally got a chance to try From The Ground Up Food Truck at a food truck fest today and it was amazing! The pulled pork and Mac was great! I will definitely be visiting their place in highland soon!“

“McDonald’s truly deserves recognition, especially this time of year. Walking in during the holiday season, the first thing you notice is the Christmas décor and the tree—tastefully done and genuinely welcoming. It’s pretty cool to see a fast-food restaurant take the time to decorate and show pride in their space. It immediately sets a positive tone and makes the place feel more like a community spot than just a quick stop.

What really stands out, though, is how spotless this location is. The dining area, counters, floors, and restrooms are consistently clean, which says a lot about the management and staff. You can tell there’s pride in how this store is run, and that attention to detail doesn’t go unnoticed.

I’ve been to a lot of McDonald’s locations throughout the Hudson Valley, and this one has always been a standout. Honestly, it may be one of the best McDonald’s in the entire region. This isn’t just a recent thing either—this location has been solid for years. Even when I was younger, it was a great McDonald’s, and it’s impressive to see that consistency maintained over time, including back when James Way was here.

Friendly service, a clean environment, and a location that clearly cares about presentation and customer experience. This Highland McDonald’s sets the standard for how these stores should be run. Highly recommended. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“

“Heaven on a bun.“

“We were looking for a new place to have lunch that wasn't the typical fast food. This place was perfect. Tons of different options for food. I had the crispy chicken sandwich. I really. Enjoyed the retro sauce and coleslaw on it. The portion was large and the price was good. It did take a little bit to be done but everything is made to order so it was hot. The tots were fantastic, super crispy and delicious. Each table has two controllers hooked up to a large choice of old school games to play while you wait. The inside is decorated in old images and consoles bringing back many good memories. Definitely a good place to stop by and grab something to eat.“

“Went above and beyond when my husband ordered me a gluten free lettuce wrapped burger. Asked him if it was a sensitivity or allergy, when he replied allergy they stopped production of all other burgers to make mine so it would have no contact trace. Not to mention their fries are always gluten free. So very grateful to be able to get safe food for my celiac disease while getting take out!“

“Indulging in a bit of nostalgia l, as this was one of my family's favorite stops with us kids at the time in the 1960s-70s. Back then, it was a typical DQ with a walk-up window. Now, like everything else, it's modernized.

I did the drive-thru and ordered a chocolate dip top cone. The car in front of me must have had a more formidable order because I waited behind him for over 10 minutes.

The cone was good, but maybe my expectations were a bit high. The service was good too. But it just lacked the fun of standing outside on line for an ice cream treat on a hot summer night. I guess both DQ and I are not kids anymore.“

“A nice spot for a quick treat or fast food type meal. Take out or eat outside at their metal picnic tables under the eaves. The $7 meal deals are amazing. You get either 3 large chicken strips with your choice of dipping sauce or a cheeseburger with all the fixings. Value meals come with fries, a medium-sized fountain drink, and your choice of sundae all for $7!“

“Been going to Pam’s for what, about 30 years now! Was brought there by my pleasant valley friends dad when I was little and now bring my own kids there. Same incredible dogs, my favorite Chili and that personality after all these years! Priceless…And you don’t break the bank! “We brought a group of 50 people on a bus tour and made the McDonald’s in New Paltz our stop both ways for the weekend. We called ahead on the way down, and the staff were incredibly kind, helpful, and impressively fast. All 50 of us received our orders quickly and without a single mistake!

On our way back, we gave them about an hour’s notice, and once again the service was fantastic. The team handled our large group with efficiency and a great attitude. The bathrooms were also very clean, which we truly appreciated!

“Shout out to Bubbakoos in New Paltz NY. I forget to hit submit on my online order so when I went in to pick up there was no order for me. When I saw my mistake they made my order right away. That was so awesome of them. I really appreciated the awesome customer service- especially when the error was all mine.“

“Food? Slaps. No complaints when it comes to the chicken, crispy, juicy, and seasoned like grandma whispered secrets into the batter. Real talk, the cooks deserve a raise.

Now the atmosphere? Different story. Pull up after dark and it feels like you’re stepping into a rap video without a camera crew. Young heads posted up front like it’s their business, sizing you up like you just walked into the wrong project building. Ain’t no “how can I help you?”…more like “what you lookin’ at?”

I order online now. Not ‘cause I’m scared, but because I like my drumsticks without drama and my fries without feeling like I’m about to get lined up.

Crown Fried Chicken got heat in the kitchen, but outside? Feels like you need a pitbull and a prayer.“

“Stopped here on a road trip and had a great experience! I ordered the Deluxe Burger with waffle fries. Tasted fresh and loved the fries a lot. The Chick-fil-A sauce was a nice addition.
The staff were fantastic—super friendly, patient while I decided what to order, and even cracked some jokes that made the visit fun. The rest stop itself was also really nice, with plenty of space to relax and take a break. Definitely one of the better stops I’ve been to—would happily come back!“

I always complain about the competition because they always forget something key. Like asking for diet and driving away and its regular coke. Ketchup for fries, nope. This store in particular never mess up on the order so thanks for that. That alone makes it my favorite place to grab a burger by far.“

“So I had a really long day of doing deliveries and I was about to do my last deliver but my phone died which I needed to complete my delivery. I had no charger and realized I was also hungry and I saw the golden arches. I walked in and the place was very busy and was greeted by lovely woman named ayesha. I asked her if there was any possible way someone had a charger I could use to charge my phone while I eat my dinner. She not only plugged my phone in for me and kept an eye on it, she made sure my order was correct and was very courteous and caring while managing the dinner rush. I finished my meal which hit the spot and my phone had just enough charge to get me to my next delivery. I have worked in the restaurant business for over 20 years and was so impressed by how she managed the floor with elegance and kindness. Not only did I leave happy, she helped me so I could also finish my work and go home not stressed. She really runs the place well and definitely deserves a raise. It really meant a lot to me.“

“This is easily the best Taco bell in the area. I work at the local Kia dealership and walk in here a few times a week minimum. They're very polite, timely, and the food comes out HOT! I never get the same experience at the other locations in the area anymore. I order on the Kiosk, and they have never missed anything I changed or added. I spoke with the general manager a few times, and the gentleman at the drive through register. Nice people. Would recommend.“

“I swung by Jersey Mikes a couple of days ago because I was too lazy to cook. I ordered a gluten-free sub, and you know how it is—ordering gluten-free can feel like I’m asking for trouble, with everyone having to sanitize everything and the staff looking a bit frazzled. But the Jersey Mikes staff was amazing! They greeted me with a smile and a “no worries” attitude, which I always love. A young man, who I believe is named Travis, or a name that starts with a T took care of my sandwich with such care, making sure the knife was spotless and nothing else touched it. I’m definitely coming back!“

“Food here is always excellent. Waayyyy better than the Charley's in Walmart. They're always so so nice here and I am always satisfied with my food. Today (June 6, around 2pm) there were some grouchy entitled customers in front of us who did nothing but complain and demand a refund. The Charley's staff did an amazing job at handling them. Everyone at this location deserves a hug and a raise. 10/10!

“I discovered this gem on my way from Pittsfield to Long Island, and it completely blew me away! The sandwiches were delicious—better than any Subway I’ve tried on Long Island.

Nancy, who runs the store, is incredibly cheerful and welcoming. She made great recommendations and even gave me a bag of cookies as I left! My mom loved her Veggie Pattie sandwich, saying it was way better than her usual Long Island experience.
