The owner is the kindest individual you'll ever meet. “I'm new to the Poughkeepsie area I needed a go to place for breakfast. I wanted to avoid McDonald's, IHOP, the "chains". Found Abes and ordered an egg sandwich and a tuna sub for later. Both were excellent and very satisfying. Prices were also very fair. Highly recommend this joint.“
“I work near by and hadn't ever come because I assumed only bagels. So not the case! Went one morning with my running group and was shocked at the great menu. Breakfast wrap was amazing and now we (my work crew) order lunch regularly from here as well. The rice pudding is so good! The staff is great, the food is fresh, the portions are generous, and the restaurant is adorable and clean! My office is moving locations in about a month but I'm happy we will still be close enough to still walk to get lunch at our new location!“

“Big fan of Five Guys burgers. Really not that expensive and the food is really good. The fries are always dropped fresh when you pick up your order and they give you a ton of them. They also do lettuce wrapped burgers, which is great because my wife can't have gluten.Dietary restrictions: Lettuce wrapped burgers for gluten allergies. The fries are fried in peanut oil though, so beware of that if you have a peanut allergy.“

“Very pleasant experience! I have been here twice in the past month while roaming the mall before going to the movies. Both times, I was extremely impressed with the customer service. The staff is obviously well trained and take pride in their work. I was served with a smile, and didn't feel rushed, even though they were quite busy. “The Dairy Queen is great! The staff is usually young people, but they are usually very cheerful and willing to help. The food is really good, we like the honey BBQ strips. But it's the ice cream that wins it all, it's usually very good. Some mixes aren't quite as good, but even the bad ones taste good. Highly recommend.“
