“This is by far the best Chinese restaurant around the island. Not only the food is amazing but the service is outstanding. They always answer the phone with great energy and never give attitude or rush you off the phone. The portions are incredible. The taste is immaculate. The wonton soup comes with like 5 or 6 wontons in it and with flavor and always delicious. The sweet and sour sauce is made fresh in house and is completely edible. The pineapples they give as a complimentary dish are to die for. I can't make this up. Try this spot and forget what the rest said. This is my favorite and only spot I come to from now on. Have been here atleast 6x in the past year so this place rocks. Don't believe me. Let the pictures do it some justice then come give it a try. This place will not disappoint.“

“food is always big portions and usually very good! penne aka vodka is my favorite along with the wraps. they definitely need to work on the zucchini chips though which are more like medallions than chips lol so thick you can’t even bite through them.“

“I can not believe that this restaurant has been here on Main Street in Port Jefferson Village for over 20 years and I never ate there!!! This is my new Favorite place to eat. The food was exceptional and good size portions. The pita bread they put out on the table was so delicious I could have made that my meal. The service was extremely attentive and so personable. The Owner came around greeting everyone and made us feel like we were all family having dinner together. I am looking forward to my next visit.“

“My wife and I went here last night for our Valentines Day dinner (yes a few weeks late) on recommendation from some friends. Our waitress Jackie was very accommodating and friendly. We had the fried risotto balls and parm truffle croquettes for appetizers which were very good, and that’s where it ended. We got a call from our baby sitter saying one of our kids was getting a fever and was acting out of sorts. We’ve never had to, but felt that it was time to leave early. We asked if we could wrap our pasta up to go, which they were great about. We paid for what we ate so far and left, knowing we would eventually come back. As I got into the car, I saw someone running towards us. As they got closer I realized it was Jackie our waitress. I thought I left my wallet (which wouldn’t be a surprise) but she said the entrees just finished and they wanted us to have them. I didn’t pay for that part of our meal and I asked if I could, but Jackie said they insisted it was on the house because of our situation. We couldn’t believe it; one of the nicest things I’ve encountered. After a 30 minute drive home and putting four kids to bed, we ate out to-go boxes an hour later, and they were incredible. The food is very good, unique spins on dishes with ingredients that pair very well. Price was very reasonable for the quality of food. The restaurant is deceivingly large when you look from the outside. But it was the service that set it apart. We can’t wait to stick around for dessert next time!“

“Wanted to give a huge shout out to the Tap Room (Patchogue) (specifically the Patchogue location). We were invited to a family party, buffet-style. I reached out to the restaurant via email, because I wanted to make sure they could accommodate my daughters food allergies -- eggs, soy, sunflower seeds, tree nuts and peanuts, or I would plan ahead and pack snacks she could safely eat instead. The Culinary Director, Joseph Walsh, called me the next day. He spoke to me for awhile, went over her food allergies, made some suggestions, and assured me that he would come up with something she could safely eat. The morning of the party, he sent me an email to confirm we were coming and his suggestions for a safe meal (rice and beans sauteed with bell peppers, chicken cutlet w/ no egg, and a mixed fruit salad). I emailed him back that just rice and beans and the fruit salad would be fine, because she doesn't eat chicken. He emailed me back, concerned that rice and beans and a fruit salad wouldn't be enough, but I assured him it would be fine because she's only 7 and has anxiety over trying new foods at restaurants (understandably), so sticking with rice and beans and fruit salad, which she's comfortable with, would be perfect. At the event, Joseph told my relative that he wanted to talk to us, and when we arrived, he came to introduce himself, told me that he was making sure everything was prepared separately and would be ready for her shortly. Absolutely fantastic service. We truly, truly appreciated all his care and effort, because that's sadly not the norm most of the time when we try to eat out. I also ordered a steak burrito, which was hearty, flavorful, and packed with perfectly cooked steak and fresh ingredients. It was generously portioned and so satisfying!

They keep the busy small eat in order area and kitchen clean. They have many choices, so our mixed diets of regular and vegan have delicious items to choose from their menu.

“I want to start by saying the buffalo chicken egg rolls are the best and I mean THE BEST Buffalo chicken egg rolls I have ever had. I got garlic parm wings as my main and they were also delicious. Came on a weekend and it was very busy with live music so make reservations!“

“I just hosted a surprise 40th birthday at po'boy. It was such a wonderful experience (and the guest of honor was successfully surprised!) Just the vibe I was looking for, relaxed, homey and fun. Great music and atmosphere. They charge a very low and reasonable space rental fee, and we had more than enough space for our 40 guests. So many options for drinks including all of their beers, wine and soda. We were even allowed to bring in our own food at no charge. And decorate the space how we liked. Bartenders there were sooo helpful, friendly, and were able to help with all requests. Highly recommend for a relaxed party, or just an evening with some friends for a couple of drinks. (Alcoholic or non!) Thank you for the great experience! Keep it up!“

“I have had Isabella’s pizza and hero’s before but never a pasta dinner. Now I know why. I did not enjoy it at all. I ordered lasagne with chicken parmagian and meatballs. The lasagne was mostly chicken, hardly any lasagne. The meat balls were good. I was’nt to crazy about the sauce. I will still get pizza from there but not a dinner.“

“Breakfast is our favorite meal and we eat out every morning. Due to an early morning doctor appointment, we bumped into Buttermilk’s Kitchen. Great vibe as soon as you walk in….friendly and cheerful staff, nice decor, immediate service. I had the “The ‘Ol Barnyard”…..the sausage gravy was excellent with big chunks of sausage and super flavorful…..probably the best I’ve had here in NY and most of the South!!! The bacon was high quality and very tasty. My perfect over easy eggs were so fresh (yes, I can taste the freshness and quality just by having a bite of the whites!). My husband had a “Create Your Own Omelette” and declared that is was a “work of art” (I was offended because I make a darn good omelette and he never said that to me!) We were concerned about the “hash browns” because that usually means just cubed and fried potatoes, so we were very pleasantly surprised at the delicious shredded and seasoned, crispy but soft hash browns. Our regular coffee was good and hot, and they offer several “craft” coffee options. The Banana Foster French toast looked delectable! The lunch menu looks good, as well. We’ll definitely be back.“
