The food just tastes good. Reminds me of food from Spanish Harlem.
We ate here for the first time yesterday. The food was delicious and the portions plentiful. The whole staff was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend.
This place has delicious authentic Dominican food! I had chicken and yellow rice and my husband had oxtail and white rice with beans! Everything had so much flavor! Will definitely be going back!!!!

El Dominicano Restaurant is one of the best Dominican restaurants in the Hudson Valley. The restaurant gives you the loving, welcoming and inviting feeling you feel back at home. The owner is personable and welcomes you to his establishment. The family is in the back making the food and family serves the food making it fully authentic providing you that experience you're looking for. The ambiance is beautiful and almost picture worthy it's just a whole vibe and wonderful to have something different. The food is amazing. The Arroz con Guandules y Pernil con maduros features moist pork, lots of flavor, rice cooked to perfection and maduros were sooo sweet. The yellow rice with red beans and pernil with plantains or the white rice with black beans are also favorites. The Stewed Chicken, Stewed Pork Chop and beef empanada are flavorful and tender, the beans were delicious and the portions were perfect. The empanada was the best in a very long time. The restaurant has merged with Freshburger, so whether you're craving authentic Spanish/Latin cuisine or an incredible fresh burger, they've got you covered. The burger was absolutely outstanding. The Dragonflies Berry Smoothie was refreshing and delicious. The juice bar is soooooo cute. The food and service is 10 out of 10. The food was good, atmosphere was nice, service was great and the people were awesome.
