Just blah. I was hoping for real Oaxaca flavors but the food tasted bland and not the best ingredients. I had Posole with pork and all I got was the fat trimmings of pork. Did not eat it. The service was good but would never forget back.

Amazing place, very authentic food, my family and I were very impressed with food, service and hospitality. Highly recommend. Chicken quesadillas and the heavy soup (pozole) out of this world.

My veggie quesadillas were good, as was the rice and black beans…however, I was lied to about corn tortillas (which was my reason for getting quesadillas). I specifically asked if the tortillas would be corn and was told yes. As the picture shows, and my tasting confirmed, they used wheat. When I asked the waitress, she repeatedly said “it’s corn, they said it’s corn.” She didn’t make the food and is just passing along what they told her to say, but OBVIOUSLY these are not corn. Just say they are going to be wheat, don’t lie to my face. In NO world are these corn, and I’m offended they are trying to gaslight me. ? This was a very sad development and ruined my overall experience.

We ordered take out and I ordered the Empanadas their menu states “two empanadas stuffed with chicken Amarillo sauce and cilantro” I know each region in Mexico may make different types of empanadas but these were not fried or good. What I got was a corn tortilla filled with dry tasteless chicken with a side of Amarillo sauce that tasted like Goya chili and adobo sauce just heated up, a lime wedge and no cilantro. I don’t know how this place has 4.6 stars either these people don’t know how to cook and will eat anything or have lost their sense of taste. This was my second time first time was okay but I said let’s try again. I won’t be making that mistake again.

After visiting Olana State Historic Site a group of six went to El Sabor for a late lunch. It was our first time there. We looked it up on Google Maps but didn’t know anything else about it. It’s a very casual place. A bunch of tables for four people and a counter where you go to get takeout. We pulled a table away from the wall so all six would fit at the table. If there were more free tables we would have pulled two tables together to give us more room for everything we ordered. There was a regular menu and a menu for the specials. Both have lots of items on it. Three people ordered Enchiladas Oaxaca which were four fried tortillas filled with chicken and also came with a choice of a side of Steak or Pork. Our friends ordered Steak which was one large thinly cut piece of steak. It also came with rice and beans. My wife and I shared The veggie tacos and the red cecina which was marinated pork. Also ordered was a Burrito filled with rice beans and she chose chicken which came with two sauces. For the table we ordered the Huaraches with chorizo meal as an appetizer. Most enjoyed their meals. My wife and I loved our meal. It’s not tex-mex which some people expect when going to a Mexican restaurant. It’s traditional Oaxacan food. We debated if I should give it a 4 or 5 star and concluded it’s exactly what it says it is and the food was delicious but might not be to everyone's taste.Parking: Side streets are easier to find parkingKid-friendliness: Casual atmosphere for kids

We stumbled across this restaurant completely by accident when taking a walk in downtown Hudson. My wife had an order of veggie tacos - and said that they were the best veggie tacos she ever had. I ordered a chicken burrito. It was loaded with filling but I would rate it as good vs great. It was a bit on the bland side. The was only 1 waitress on duty and, although the restaurant was pretty busy, she was very pleasant and attentive. Service was prompt. We will definitely try this restaurant again but next time I would try another dish - hoping to match my wife's enthusiasm.

A lovely place, ordered Chile Rellenos with Queso. Tasty. Good rice and beans and the side salad with avocado was very fresh. Service was very good and friendly. Would def go back to try something else.
