“Used to go here when it was Debra T’s Cafe! I raised all 3 kids there! It was SO Good SO adorable SO clean! Was devastated when Debra T’s closed! Then it opened as Maple cafe and they quickly dismantled the adorable decorations that Debra T’s had up 😣 In my opinion they destroyed it took the booths out and took all the adorable cute things down. It was dirty and we never went back SO sad! Then driving by yesterday and wala it was a new name!!!! Omg YAY We walked in and it was CLEAN which is SO incredibly important!! And so cute! Definitely had a Debra T vibe going on!! 🎉🎉🎉 Spectacular food delicious ice cream super cute and fun! Lovely owner young sweet workers that were pleasant and funny! “The Anchorage is one of my favorite restaurants in all of Kingston the service, the food, everything about it makes you feel like it’s a home-cooked and the warmth of the people make you wanna keep coming back. “Went above and beyond when my husband ordered me a gluten free lettuce wrapped burger. Asked him if it was a sensitivity or allergy, when he replied allergy they stopped production of all other burgers to make mine so it would have no contact trace. Not to mention their fries are always gluten free. So very grateful to be able to get safe food for my celiac disease while getting take out!“

“We drove from fishkill after my mom’s chemo treatment in pok … we haven’t been here in a while because it is a drive but we were in pok and we were in the mood for different. We were very happy with the food everything was great we just weren’t happy with the service, we had to ask multiple times for Splenda, the waitress spilled the milk and I used my napkins, she never gave us extra (she had them in her apron) I had to call her over for some then she was taking the finished plates and dropped the butter knife on my mothers foot and never apologized and seen it fall and looked under the table . not sure if the waitress was a bit off her game but we decided to enjoy the food.“

Now the atmosphere? Different story. Pull up after dark and it feels like you’re stepping into a rap video without a camera crew. Young heads posted up front like it’s their business, sizing you up like you just walked into the wrong project building. Ain’t no “how can I help you?”…more like “what you lookin’ at?”

I order online now. Not ‘cause I’m scared, but because I like my drumsticks without drama and my fries without feeling like I’m about to get lined up.

“We had the buffalo chicken pizza, ham and pepperoni roll, and the ravioli dinner (yum, with mozzarella cheese and sauce on top). All were excellent. We did a pick-up order, and noticed when we got home that the salad was missing that went with the ravioli dinner. We called, and what seemed like only moments after I put down the phone, the doorbell rang with the salad and bread and apologies delivered -- great service!“
