“Perfect start to the day! We stayed here 4 or 5 times during our week in NY for breakfast. We tested porridge, acai bowls and smoothies. The "Hell's Kitchen Sink" tastes awesome (with peanut butter and cocoa nips.) The smoothies Boo Berry, Gymbuddy and Energy Boost are each made with almond or coconut milk and protein powder .We loved everything! The service is very friendly and There are only a few seats, so we were there early (about 8 / 9h) and had no problems getting a small table.Now we are back home and miss the delicious bowls!“

The employees were friendly, attentive, and personable. I do not remember the name of the person who take my order but he was great. He even took the time to bring me my smoothie. He went above and beyond. I highly recommend this location and playa bowl in general. Haven’t been disappointed in any of there smoothies or bowls.“

“This cafe is really nice. Service is friendly and efficient. The space is relaxed and with ample seating. The tea was nice. I sat there for an hour on a call I needed to take and no one bothered me. They also filled up my water bottle for me before I left on my bike. 🫡“

“A wide selection of Asai (and other based) bowls. Endless combinations of fruit with added garnishments. Reading the founders story and appreciating the immersive design of the location you can almost feel like you escaped from 2nd avenue off to a warm sunny beach elsewhere. Enjoy surfing the flavors of your bowl, there is no need for sunscreen and you won't need to clean up any sand before you get back home. There is an additional seating space to and a restroom inside. The servings are bigger than your average Asai bowl (may be enough for 2) but the prices are also relatively high.“

“Finally a salad place in the area! So many options available and their specialty salads always have complimentary flavors. Took a star off because I order pre-order for a certain time pick up and it’s never ready/if it’s busy I have to wait for someone to be free so I can ask them for my order. They have a whole pickup section and when I’m in a rush it’s frustrating. Also It’s frustrating that their rewards program only works on the app for preorders since I would like to get points for my orders in store. Otherwise, solid salad place!“

“The bowls here are great! They don’t only look aesthetic but also have such a variety of ingredients— protein (salmon) to fiber (vegetables and seawood) to carbs (sushi rice) to health fats (avocado). It’s a super filling bowl and everything tastes great together.“

I was in and out 7 min and thats because it took me 2 minutes to make my choice.... got my favorite bowl, the GOJI Pitaya bowl... had the spoon and napkins placed in the paperbag, maybe something the Hackensack spot should take into concideration... will visit THIS spot more often... young lady behind the counter was very pleasant aswell... thank you

Raj, the manager is highly knowledgeable about the products, He knows his customers and caters to us. He is kind and generous and has given special attention to customers in the neighborhood. He visited my friend in the hospital after a major operation, with treats. Food For Health sells a vast variety of items including organic veggies, coffee, tea, dried and canned goods, dairy, smoothies, fresh peanut butter, frozen meals, snacks, spices, vitamins, etc, etc., etc.“
