Amazing ppl work there. I got iftar from them few days ago felt like I was eating at home. Definitely will go in one day to try out all the dishes one day.
Kolapata is a small but nicely decorated Bangladeshi restaurant in NYC. The food is extremely homely and authentic, cooked from scratch without pre-cooked food heated up. Dishes like shorshe ilish, chicken curry, rupchada fry, and mixed sabji are excellent, with great presentation and fair prices. The quantity is more than sufficient and generous, though some note main dishes could have a little more. The service is nice, and the staff, including the family who owns and runs the place, is extremely humble, nice, welcoming, and friendly. The owner provides excellent customer service. It is a great place to go with family for home-like food. However, dining in may have kitchen ventilation issues, leaving a smell on clothes. Overall, it is highly recommended as the best Bangladeshi restaurant in NYC.
