“My first time to a professional baseball game and only second time to New York! I'm glad it was Game 1 of the ALDS. We flew in Saturday morning from Wilmington, NC and back out Sunday evening! Not only was the energy out of this world, but Lisa, had more control of the bar patrons in both fairness and communication in her delivery of adult beverages! “I am Happy to say I was introduced to The Woodlot thanks to a Yelp event. I enjoyed the atmosphere and service, I declared that I would definitely return.

A couple months later a fav and I decided to stop in after an event. Upon walking in Amanda (co-owner/partner) greeted me by name. What? How in the world did she remember me by name? That’s wild and the look on my face expressed my utter surprise. We all burst out in laughter.

Just like the first time we grabbed a seat @ the bar. I truly enjoyed the atmosphere and feel of the space. It gives spacious elevated comfort, if that's even an interior design thing.

Amanda was just as sweet and attentive as before as she managed to take care of everyone solo. I told her I returned like I said I would to try their wings and another cocktail off the menu.

My fav and I both opted for a couple of the FOCO U Martinis. For wings I went with the Honey Garlic and my fav went with the Classic Buffalo. The wings were fresh and hot, I can’t say for sure if they are the “Best Wings in Queens” just yet. They were good however, I need to try them a couple more times before I can decide.

Amanda thank you for your amazing service and impressionable personality. I think I found a go-to spot in Woodside.

Just A Note:

They do not offer ranch with the wings, only blue cheese (yuck). TBH its not needed the wings can stand on their own.“

“I came back to Tap House on a Saturday afternoon and had a great time. The bartender was super friendly. I ordered a burger from the brunch menu, which was delicious by the way, and she replaced the tots with fries and since brunch includes a drink she included the beer I was already drinking (brunch menu only had mimosas, screw driver and a couple other drinks, but beer). Fries were also delicious! Nice ambiance music and friendly patrons. I will definitely be back! Parking isn’t easy but you can find metered parking. Be careful if you park near the residential area because some streets are private and they can boot your car.“

“The local TGIFridays I had been going to for 10+ years closed down. I decided to travel abit further out to go to Friday’s “one last time.” But my server Fabia changed my mind. “It's a simple dive bar that mostly seems to serve the post work crowd. Taking a star off as they didn't seem to have any beers on Tap. Might have been a one off but I feel that a bar must have some options on Tap.

“the whole 80s theme. all the film posters , the super mario bros decor , the jaws movie 3D pop up , the hot wheels , the wrestling buddies ( plush doll ) , the flat screens have cool TV frames. on TV looked like an etch & sketch , a gameboy & a Nintendo Switch. They had dominoes , connect 4 & classic board games like trouble. the only nitpick is actually more suggestions. It be cool if they had free wifi , also I wish they had more than finger food. I mean the food is delicious 😋 I enjoyed the mac & cheese nuggets & also the tator tots w/ their delicious seasoning. it be cool to get some food that you'd find in a sports arena , like burgers 🍔 & hotdogs 🌭 & if they had pizza 🍕 even if small personal pies. overall , I had a great time & got to see the Forbidden Door 🚪 , AEW X NJPW PPV with cool wrestling fans. I will be coming back & make this one of my hangout spots in Brooklyn.“

“Total vibe before the Yankees game. We were in our St Louis Cardinals matching jerseys for our 5 yr anniversary. Everyone was so welcoming and helpful. The twins were really nice and their bouncer, server, host added so much entertainment and a genuine touch.

The food recommendation, and I quote: 'look im Greek, so I know everything taste great". With that we order two beef gyros and two Bloody Marys *spicy*. The gyro was the best open faced sandwich I have ever tasted. The Bloody Mary did not disappoint, great flavor and wonderfully spicy.

If we ever have a chance to go to another Yankees game. We will be back.“

“Had a surprisingly great experience here! I was expecting just low quality snack food but the tacos were really delicious and did not skimp out on fillings. My friend also thoroughly enjoyed the Cuban sandwich, saying it was potentially one of the best ones he’s ever had. Prices are reasonable. The waitress was also really friendly and nice. This is a great place to wind down and have a drink or a snack after practicing at the driving range.“

“I have been a customer of Austin’s Ale House for many years, I know them well they know me well. This year I decided to give the excellent and highly favored family cooking team a break and had Austin’s Ale House cater our Christmas Dinner. I went with the ham dinner for 10 to feed 7 people🤣. The ordering was done with ease and so was the pick up. The family did a preliminary tasting...... LOVED .IT and whatever we have left after the “taste test” will have to serve as our Christmas Dinner. Since the taste test was so aggressive we may need to supplement what’s left with a few cheese omelets 🤣. We enjoyed it so much there was much talk about it becoming the new family tradition. THANK YOU AUSTIN’S ALE HOUSE AND MEREY CHRISTMAS........ PS I’m going to need one of those backyard igloos in a day or so. See you then 🎄❤️“
