We joined Sherwood back in November 2023, and we had a wonderful time. Came December 2023 Sherwood charged my card without authorization and shipped us an order even though we requested that our orders be for pickup.Jan 25 I received a second charge without authorization or explanation, for 2 days straight I've been calling Sherwood and leaving massages, emailing them without any response back.Today 1/27/2024 we decided to drive by and to our surprise Sherwood was closed and the sign is down. This is absurd that my card is being charged for services I didn't get. This is extremely unprofessional. No communication from the Management or courtesy email to update the status.

Since the winery continues to ignore my message and not provide me my wine but yet continues to charge me American Express advised to send the following email - would suggest others do the same.AS OF THE DATE OF THIS WRITING - JAN 25 2024I am in writing - specifically requesting you cancel my membership and any future order processing. I no longer authorize you to charge my credit card. I have left you several messages with no response. I never received my initial order last month and I inquired several weeks ago to both you and the shipper about the order with no response.Let me be absolutely clear -THIS EMAIL WILL DOCUMENT THAT I AM CANCELING MY SHERWOOD HOUSE VINEYARDS MEMBERSHIP AND SHERWOOD HOUSE VINEYARDS IS NO LONGER PERMITTED UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE TO CHARGE MY CREDIT CARD - THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THIS REQUEST.

Always a lovely experience at Sherwood House. The fire is always delightful, especially when the weather is frightful lol. But seriously, the wine is great, the staff, the ambiance. Always at the top of our list to visit.

I gave this winery 3 stars only for their sparking wines; they are perfect! I had visited a few times with friends but the most recent time my husband and I felt very unwelcome. We had our infant with us. Before even entering the building the manager told us that the stroller cannot come in (which I understand). I honestly think she was annoyed that we brought our baby with us. Throughout the whole experience the manager was extremely rude and snarky. She speaks to you as if she’s better than you! I can understand that wineries are busy and this one is smaller but they need training on customer experience.

Stopped in with my wife on a busy fall day after picking up a Christmas tree down the road. The tasting room was packed but we were quickly seated despite not having a reservation. The afternoon crowd was cozied up by the fireplace, in the atrium or really any alcove that was habitable. The ambiance is French farmhouse and it’s executed to perfection. Service was impeccable. The waiter recommended the seasonal flight consisting of six wine tastings of numerous varieties. We heeded his advice and are thankful we did. The wines were all delightful across the whole spectrum from bubbly whites to dark reds. The Cabernet Franc and Blanc Blanc were my favorites but they were all good. Can’t recommend Sherwood House enough and I can’t wait to go back!

The women who is the hostess is so rude! I can’t believe how she speaks to the customers. Walked out and We found our new favorite near by.

We have been to many wineries on the North Fork this was not my favorite. We ordered a charcuterie and for $35 we ONLY got a small wedge of Brie 4 pieces of salami, a dap of jam , mini pickles and a few crackers. We did enjoy the wine and the delicious cider.

So unfortunate that we arrived ready to buy 6 cases of wine at 6 pm and was told by the hostess (who wouldn't give us her name ((tall with long hair)) for obvious reasons that she couldn't sit our group of 8 together by the fire because we were too many..,nobody was there!! Not a smart business idea

I went here with my husband, and we stopped by while going to a few of the wineries in the area. There was no one at all at the winery and they showed us to a table outside that was covered in ants in the shade, and it was a little chilly out, I would have preferred to sit inside, but we were not even given the option. The only upside to this winery is the wine which I did buy a bottle because I really liked it. Had the experience been better I would have definitely had been back.

Disgusted by the reception we received when we got to Sherwood House. It has always been a highlight for our guests and really disappointed that we were so treated so terribly by the manager. Every year our group purchases many cases of wine to go and we have many wines as we sit and enjoy the atmosphere. This woman who refused to give her name would not allow our group to sit in the area near the fireplace and was extremely rude. Very poor business practice. Would not want this person working for me! Will never return to Sherwood House and suggest that it be avoided! To many good places to visit!

My sister and I discovered this place by accident while looking for the antique shop located on the property. The winery’s decor is very cozy and inviting, with little nooks for patrons to enjoy wine and food. The staff was super friendly, and the wines were way better than expected. Try the sparkling rose’ and the 2019 Merlot-they do not disappoint!

Pleasant stop on the North Fork Wine Trail. Lovely outside patio with lots of shade. The wines on offer were good. Don't bother with the charcuterie board - it was heavy on crackers and light on meat and cheese; not worth the price. Excellent
