“What an exceptional experience at brunch today. I took my pups for a hike and then wandered into Sunshine Colony. They had whole smoked trout with veggies as one of their specials today and my pups and I were in heaven. For $30 a platter, there was no hesitation to order another. The first plate was locked clean. My pups are now napping and likely dreaming of what they just experienced. Staff are warm and easy-going. There is lovely live music being played 5 feet in front of us. The outdoor wood urine oven, fresh vegetables and lovely drinks add to the entire experience.Hidden gem!“

“pelkey’s is by far my favorite bar when I come upstate. Don’t let the interior fool you…both the drinks, the food, and the service are absolutely top notch. And the owner is the friendliest coolest dude this side of the Delaware. If you’re in callicoon, it’s a can’t miss!“

“We came out to these parts for a work retreat and when our original dining plans fell through, we came here and we had a blast. Everything was delicious and some dishes were better than the others.Recommends -- Burger- Chicken (could’ve had more seasoning / flavor, it’s smoked so that part was yummy)- Spaghetti + Meatballs (great for two ppl)- Pork chop (great for 2-3ppl)- Clams (decent, def tastes like the ocean but in a good way)- wings (could’ve been more crispier, but the reaper sauce on the side was delicious if you like spicy).- calamari (delicious!)- garlic bread (could’ve had more garlicy flavor + salt but it was yummy)“

“We've been coming to Bethel annually every Woodstock anniversary weekend...We pass Hectors all the time. Last year, we finally decided to attend; they were hosting a musical event. It was the best experience EVER. The grounds were beautiful. Amazing ambiance, great music, they had a food tent making burgers, etc...it was great! The people working the event were friendly and welcoming. There were many vendors with a huge variety of 1960's era related items. My husband attended the original Woodstock festival and he blended right in and felt at home. The event had an authentic Woodstock "vibe". What a wonderful, magical, relaxing, and enjoyable experience. Moving forward, we will include Hectors as part of our annual visit to Bethel. Thank you Hector's Inn!“
