We were hiking for a while and got really hungry and wanted to have sit down right before sunset dinner and they were CLOSED. The location is superb, the views of Nissequogue River and Long Island Sound. I'm not sure if they are closed permanently or just for the season. For some reason I thought they were open weather permitting on weekends during the winter time.
We stopped for a quick bite, it's always great to sit at the bar and have lunch & a drink. We had clam bisque which was delicious and reasonably priced. I got the deluxe and it came with steak fries that had to be made in house cause they were so creamy inside. My burger was perfection. My only disappointment was the price of my drink, call me a weirdo but I ordered a frozen pinacolada it was $17.00. It was good, but not that good.

My favorite restaurant. Haven't been here in a while, but I might just take a ride and get take out. My favorite is the Sound Special and the Riverside Special. The Greek salad is the best I ever had. I'm just hoping they still have the regular baked clams without the bacon.
