“Clearly all the negative reviews are from people who don't know the owner or may have caught him on a bad day. He treats his employees like they are his flesh and blood! He pays for lawyers to help them with their citizenship. He gives them. clothes and food. This is a KIND and GENEROUS man. Clearly he's doing something right being in business over 40 years. As for not paying the rest of the money owed for the hot dog truck he purchased, the previous owner failed to tell him the things wrong with it and the pieces they failed to give him at the time of purchase. So who is the victim in this transaction? He's still fixing and paying for the plumbing on the cart! His restaurant is immaculate and so is the kitchen. The food is the highest quality for a diner.“

“First time here. We came for the soup dumplings and they were great. Great flavor and a nice selection to choose from. We tried crab and pork soup dumpling as well as lobster soup dumplings. We also ordered the spring rolls pretty good as well as the Singapore Mei Fun which had a great curry flavor and a nice spiciness though it was on the small side for an entree. The restaurant was very small. It had 4 two person tables and 2 large picnic tables with benches that could sit 6 people. Service was not the best and staff not that friendly. Once served they never came to see if you needed something or how was the food.“

“Fabulous lunch menu with equally fabulous taste and wait service. What a pleasant surprise dining at The Purple Elephant. I ordered the steak tacos and could not believe how delicious they were. Outstanding menu choices. My friend ordered the shrimp tacos and was equally pleased. We were too full for dessert but did look at the menu and each item looked better than the next. Great view of the Britannia Marina as well. Armand was our waiter and he could not have been more attentive and friendly. We will be back!!!“

Pretzel/pierog thing, pretzel (way more taste than a typical pub pretzel, bit sweet NOT sugary), and the jackfruit sammy.

Again not looking up the menu for exact names sorry but all fantastic. Followed up with a pint of the beach blonde.

Space is sweet. Grabbed the nice nook. Books to page and lots of local CSA, farm stand, bird/wildlife pamphlets to check out.
