“Ordered take out for our first visit to Mugi. Excellent customer service. Dinner for 3 was reasonably priced, with tax $62.00. I forgot to take pictures before serving our dinner, was so excited to enjoy it! Bento box teriyaki chicken was well prepared, large serving and included tempura! I ordered sushi: eel avocado roll and spicy tuna roll. Very well prepared, even flavors in each bite, fresh. Reasonably priced. Our birthday boy son who selected Japanese dinner ordered tonkatsu, that was also well prepared. I will def go back to try specialty rolls. Only 4 stars for 2 reasons, 1. the salads served with bento box and tonkatsu combined did not equal the amount of one lettuce leaf. They were so small that 1 tsp of dressing was too much. 2. half of the flimsy plastic lids that covered our aluminum food containers were broken. We had 10 containers. That's a lot of broken lids. It was disappointing. Better packaging is warranted that can withstand the heat of the food and then being stacked in a take out bag. That having been said, the quality of the food is worth visiting Mugi again. I will try dine in for sure.“

“We had a large group of adults and young children. Server was outstanding. He somehow managed to be timely, attentive and super polite. Rib eye was extra fatty, but still tasty. Ribs were good, not the best I've had there, but still glad I got them. The games are what they are, fun.“

Our party of four was seated in the doorway from the restaurant to the bar. On the other side of the doorway it was a table for 2 which is what our table should have been. My husband had to squeeze into the table and he is a small person. This reservation was made well in advance and not only repeat customers as ourselves but any party of four should have never been seated there. The constant being bumped into and the bus help reaching across our faces because they could not get around the table was pretty horrible and distracting.“

“THIS IS AN UPSCALE RESTAURANT, that has all the features of such. Including expensive dishes and drinks. But that's the point isn't it? You wouldn't go there if the prices were reasonable. The people that frequent this restaurant are proud to spend $100+ a head. And of course this is easily accomplished by purchasing appetizers, main dish, desserts, and of course multiple drinks.All this being said if you can afford it you will not be disappointed. Make reservations in advance.

“The sushi here is top notch and the service is very friendly. Even when they are busy they take the time to make sure everyone is being attended to. The Farmingville Roll is delicious along with all the other rolls we ordered. Would definitely recommend giving them a try, whether it is for date night or takeout.“

“Cozy restaurant. The food was awesome! The owner was extremely friendly and it was clear he is there for the love of cooking, atmosphere and ensuring a welcoming experience. The portions are generous. Their tzataiki sauce is creamy and delicious. The mozzarella sticks were cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed their Chicken Soulvaki Platter and their Bowties ala Pat! “Beautiful steakhouse in Port Jefferson village. The waitress was very attentive. I have been here 3 times in the past 4 years so it's over a span of time. The service is consistent. The wait staff is outstanding whoever trains them kudos to them its rare lately to see consistently trained staff. The food is fantastic every single time. Every dish is executed outstanding. The specials the chef never disappoints!! Always creative with their dishes. Love the place!! If you are looking for a great place in Port Jefferson try this place. But try and get there early or make reservations. We went on a Saturday around 5pm and it wasn't too busy so we got a seat right away. We walked around Port after and when we went back to our car to leave at 7pm it was getting packed.

Parking: It's Port Jefferson village if you get down to Port early you can find parking in the paid lots on the weekend if you don't go down early enough it's a struggle to find parking

Kid-friendliness: I saw several tables with kids. It's a little expensive for kids but if you have the money why not.

Wheelchair accessibility: It's on the ground floor do no stairs. There is ramps to get in and the staff is very accommodating so you shouldn't have any problems.“

“Lovely diner on the South Shore of Long Island. Always so festive, and never a complaint on the food. The staff is very friendly and always asking how you are doing. Family owned and run for generations. At times coffee needs to be made fresh but other than that four stars for sure. Great place to hold small to mid size parties. There are so many other places in the surrounding area that are well known with a lot more space for indoor dining. I would hands down choose Isabella's for the amount of food you receive and the taste (small space to dine in, but we do take out). My son is a bit of an Italian food addict and we were trying different places to keep it interesting. I just can't believe how good the food is and the price at Isabella's. Why go out of my way to try other places when I have found our favorite? “It’s Tuesday night I just left there speaking to Frank. My name is Thomas Kos. I’ve said this numerous times I believe since I moved to this area there’s no sense of even going anywhere else I’m a big pizza person the Sicilian in the regular or some of the best I’ve ever had the chicken bacon ranch is probably the best slice of pizza I ever had in my 56 years. The people are kind the workers are great it’s just no need to go anywhere else. Great deal on Tuesday and the slices are always huge, I’m shocked sometimes the size of a slice. We ordered flavored sangria, seafood stuffing mushrooms, grilled octopus, blue point oysters and paella marinara. Everything we ordered was very good. I recommend this restaurant. “Came because of a recommendation for the wings from a friend. Got the boneless and the on bone. Golden Carolina and Honey BBQ flavored. Neither disappointed. They were fantastic! The coating stayed on, it was crispy, and tasted good. The sauces were very good tasting. The chicken was tender and juicy. I will be back.
