This place makes authentic Italian Heroes the kind I yearn for down state...Mike the owner uses quality meats and cheeses and makes his own Mozzarella...I had an Italian Hero with roasted peppers added and it was as good (maybe better) then the Authur Ave Italian hero I had 3 months ago...I will admit I wish he used a crustier style italian bread but the Fresh Mozzarella sealed this deal...I tore it up and loved every bite...Mike makes every Italian Hero you can think of and...
This past weekend we had our son’s birthday catered by Salamone's Italian Foods. The food was delicious and the price was even better. We ordered a 1/2 tray of chicken francese, penne alla vodka, sausage and peppers and a tossed salad. The chicken francese was thin and tender and the francese sauce was a perfect lemony, velvet consistency. Amazing, low key spot with one of the best prosciutto sandwiches I’ve had in years. Bread was great, soft with a little chew with sesame seeds. Meat was sliced on the spot, perfectly thin. Rainbow cookies were also solid.
