“Had been here when the restaurant was previously named other things, and I was not a fan. But since it has become Umai it is totally different. The sushi was fresh. The ambience was excellent. The service was great will definitely be back! I hope they keep the quality that we received when we went last week.“
“My boyfriend and I decided to try a new spot in patchogue, and we were very excited with the results! Quite daunting looking for somebody as picky of an eater like me, but I pinky promise it tasted amazing. Great service, atmosphere, and the workers were quite sweet. All in all, great night out :)“
“I loved dining at this place! By far my favorite restaurant that serves Asian food! There was a large selection of sushi special rolls that were each uniquely different from each other. The atmosphere of the restaurant was very pleasant and the servers were super polite. Food arrived fast as well! The experience was amazing, definitely coming back!“
“I had a coworker tell me that he loves this place and finally got to try their food and I was impressed! Love the atmosphere and the statue that's covered in dollars was a nice touch. We tried a little of everything: an appetizer, a roll, sushi, and a hot dish (pictures included). Everything was thoroughly enjoyed and it surpassed expectations. The rice was really good, the sashimi melted in my mouth and the shrimp tempura roll was delicious! Honestly words cannot describe how impressed I was and I would love to go again to try some different appetizers and hot dishes! (Sushi/Sashimi Dinner for One, Shrimp Lo-mein, Shrimp Nagimaki was what we ordered)“
“I have about 20 chinese takeout places closer to me but I go out of my way to go to Mr Wang because their food is above and beyond anyone elses when it comes to freshness and taste. The first thing you will notice is they usually have at least 10 people working behind the counter. Multiple dedicated cooks, multiple people working the phones and registers, people that are cutting fresh vegetables, preparing dough for their dumplings and noodles, etc. The kitchen is completely open and clean, they’ve got nothing to hide.Sure the people working the register may not smile or act the happiest, but they are always super busy, phone ringing off the hook, a dozen receipts hanging for orders, the place is always jumping. If the food is good, who cares if they smile or not after probably working all day non-stop. You know the food is the best anyway, you’ll be back regardless.I’ve been here countless times but tonight’s chicken & eggplant in garlic sauce finally made me leave a review. The eggplant was obviously fresh and not frozen and the chicken portions were very generous. Was just delicious almost restaurant quality meal.“
“Sometimes the best places in life, are the places you least expect. I was in the area and felt the urge for Chinese. My friend said he always goes to "New Wing Shun Kitchen" and that the food is amazing. I guess that means I have to try it and yes, of course, Yelp it. It's located in a shopping center so there's plenty of parking. The store seems as if it's been there for a longtime, it's a bit dated. And the inside was no different. The main dining area was small. It was also a bit on the needing attention side. But I wasn't staying to eat. I ordered my food and it was prepared pretty quickly. Once I sat in my car, I wasted no time. I tried the crab ragoons first. Truth be told, they were delicious. I was surprised with the flavor. I can say they are the best I've had. Next was my combo. I tried the chicken and it was tender and not chewy like the normal place I goto by my house. This chicken was juicy and the sauce was perfect. The broccoli was the way I like it and the rice, was fluffy and worked with the meal. I normally never get rice, but my friend recommended it. My experience with this place was positive, I would definitely go back and recommend like my friend did for me. I only hope, they clean up before more people show up.“
“This place is great. It used to be called kumos and it was great. Then this whole experience was divine. The staff is very friendly and the food is so so good and they don't food. Shame you so they just keep the food coming. Everything was delicious. Tip your sushi guy and they send little special appetizers to your table ?“
“My boyfriend and I ordered take-out from here. I had the kani salad and the mimosa roll. I requested the kani salad be made spicy, and spicy it was. Definitely on point with the spice. I also had the mimosa roll. It was good and fresh. It came with a small side of mango sauce. I'm happy the sauce was on the side and not all over the roll. My boyfriend had steak hibachi rice. He said it was really good. We would order from here again.“
“I'm really glad I found this sushi place near me. As far as sushi is concerned what would you be looking for? Cleanliness certainly, unique and traditional sushi rolls, and friendly service. Wild Ginger does hit those marks. If your in the area, live nearby, I'd say give this a go. I was super happy with our waitress who was really helpful and really nice.“
“Delicious food, generous portions and reasonable prices! We just finished our dinner and everyone is full and happy. Crispy egg rolls, savory fried rice and amazing sweet and sour pork…….so yummy! Thank you so much, we will be ordering again soon!!“
“We were looking for lunch and came across this Asian fusion restaurant. There is street parking available as well as a small parking lot behind it. There is a 2 page lunch menu and plenty to choose from. All the dishes we ordered were very good. We shared a sushi lunch order as an appetizer. Portions were generous and the hot dishes were tasty. Service was friendly and efficient. The decor was very nice. Will dine there again next time we're in town.“
“My favorite Chinese food place to visit while we're waiting on Taekwondo to finish. The young service person up front seems to still be in training, the food is always excellent, but the interior leaves something to be desired. I think it's more of a takeout than an eat in Chinese restaurant.“
