I'll never forget the time my dad who grew up locally in the area cajoled me in to trying my first Dallas Hot Weiner. It's hard to describe and perhaps a bit of an acquired taste. Sadly I'm not longer able to enjoy them with him but it'll always be a connection. Do yourself a favor and just try it.
This is specifically for the one in lake Katrine . The food and staff are great. While I wish they would use a different hotdog say a sabret. Still great food. Only caviot I will ONLY go to the one in lake Katrine as I've had horrible experiences in the ones in both saugerties and kingston
I've been coming to Dallas Hot Wiener for 20 years, and it never disappoints. It's worth the 30-mile drive there to get some of the best hot dogs in the area. A nice family owned business that prides itself on quality. The restaurants are always clean and the staff is always the friendliest. I love the atmosphere of an old style diner type as well.
