A New Leaf Reviews
Welcome to what was the first floor of a gracious old family home in Lake Placid. Very comfortable place to be.
Love this little gem! Excellent breakfast sandwiches, coffee, green matcha, and tunes to jam to while enjoying your goodies. And pups are allowed!!🐾
Cute cafe/gift shop with views of Mirror Lake. The best breakfast burrito in town!! Coffee selections are awesome! We’ve been coming to Lake Placid for years and just discovered this place. We will definitely make this place a daily stop during our next stay in LP.

A New Leaf is a cozy and welcoming coffee shop that offers high-quality food and drinks at reasonable prices. The coffee is organic and tasty, with many customers praising their iced coffee and vanilla chai. The atmosphere feels like a homey grandma's house, making it a perfect spot for a quick stop or a quiet afternoon. Inside, the quirky decor looks like an antique shop exploded in the best way, with lots of old items to look at while waiting. The shop is small, charming, and has a nostalgic vibe that hasn’t changed in decades.
The menu features strong and satisfying options, including a generous bagel with cream cheese and a delicious breakfast burrito. The real star is the breakfast sandwiches, especially the egg sandwich on sourdough, which is fresh and hits the spot. Many visitors enjoy the outdoor view of the lake, with a quirky moose and Olympic items adding to the charm. The shop is very accommodating for vegetarians and vegans, offering a variety of plant-based milk options.
The friendly staff and homemade quality of the food are appreciated, though some customers noted the inconvenience of not having a tap payment option, so cash is recommended. Some visitors mentioned the gruff appearance of the owner or staff, but they are friendly once approached. Overall, A New Leaf is highly recommended for anyone looking for a great breakfast spot with a cozy, nostalgic ambiance.
