Love this diner and always stop by when I am in town. The staff are friendly and the cooks are awesome. Really great vibe and the food is delicious. I recommend this place to anyone and everyone visiting Lake Placid.
I really like this place but it has gone down. First let's start with the food. It was fine nothing special. They used to serve home fries but they replaced it with mediocre hash browns. The eggs were eggs nothing of interest. The toast and pancakes were fine, not great. The server and service really brought back a star. The food came decently fast and the server was nice. Mixed experience today. Positives: seated quickly, the omelets were delicious and cooked perfectly. Very nice bread for the toast. Negatives: Hash browns were not cooked thoroughly and were cold. I ordered an omelet with mushrooms, spinach, and cheddar, but got one with spinach, feta, and cheddar. Our food was left under the warmer for 5-10 minutes, meanwhile our waitress cleared tables and did other things. I'm sure low staffing had something to do with the issues.
