“I've been traveling on the road and I'm finally back in NY. I'm originally from the Bronx so I'm super picky with those bodegas with the prepped food. But wow, did this place hit the spot. I feel like I'm back in the Bronx eating at my best friend's abuelas house.“

“For the appetizers, the stuffed peppers were absolutely delicious. The lobster bisque was a tad salty—a common pitfall, unfortunately—and while the quality of the steak was merely average, the chef certainly did their best with the ingredients at hand. The service, however, was excellent; in fact, it was our server who recommended the stuffed peppers. The peppers themselves had been cooked down, so they weren't particularly spicy; instead, they were filled with a flavorful mixture—possibly basil and orange zest—combined with slow-cooked diced beef and cheese. The mild heat perfectly complemented the aromatic cheese and juicy beef, making for a truly superb dish.“

“Hands-down the best pupusas in the area. I love that they are generous with the filling and it tastes like an actual pupusa and not like a tortilla like at other places. Highly recommend. I would just suggest you call in the order ahead of time as it gets busy and it’s a tiny store.“

“It was my first time trying Empanada Queen, a food truck in Baldwin, and overall, it was a decent experience. They had a deal for 10 empanadas for $28, so I decided to try a variety. I went with shrimp, beef, chicken, and mac and cheese empanadas. The flavors were all pretty tasty, with the shrimp, beef, and chicken being the standouts. However, I wasn’t a fan of the mac and cheese one—it just didn’t have the right texture or flavor I was expecting.

The wait time was short, which was a nice surprise, especially since it was freezing outside! I was glad to have the car to wait in while the food was being prepared.

One thing to note is that the outer shell of the empanadas was quite hard, which made them a bit tough to bite into. On the positive side, the fillings themselves were flavorful. The only other downside was that they only offer one sauce, which had a bit of spice to it. While I didn’t mind it, I wish there were a few more sauce options to choose from.

I'd still recommend it if you're in the area and craving empanadas.“

“We came here on a thurs even around 6pm...Was pretty crowded but got a table in the middle..The sound level is pretty high at 3/4 capacity but somehow you seem to flow with it because of the atmosphere... People enjoying good mex food are more enjoyable to be around for some reason..anyway...lighting as with most place is difficult to read menu but once the order was in,alot of fun...I noticed the food to be very FRESH...I immediately tasted that in the beans on my Mexican special and the Flautas,chimichanga etc were all delicious stuffed and perfectly cooked!..Fajita steak was so nicely marinated and charred but med inside..Perfect!..Wait staff were all very pleasant....I enjoyed my visit and will defin visit during a slow day,maybe lunch for a lil more quiet....“

“Well where can I start, stopped by to get something to eat after taking an exam near the location. First off the atmosphere is nice with traditional tables and chairs expected, nice Spanish music playing in the background while one enjoys their meal, a wide variety of Juices and a good selection of foods to try personally the ribs were amazing and the fried chicken even though a bit cold was delicious. The place is chill, came to to eat with my father and the pricing wasn't that bad for two huge plates of food, around $50+.

“I walked in here on a whim one day a few months ago. My go-to deli down the block had closed down. I needed somewhere to get my egg sandwiches. I'm so glad I did. They're better than the old deli, and less expensive. Almost every day, I order a Bacon, Egg, and Cheese. With hot sauce, pepperjack, on a toasted bun. It's consistently perfect, and for only $3, the best deal in the neighboorhood. I'll be a customer as long as I live here.“

“Our family hosted a luncheon for approx 25 people at Cabo in the atrium space at the rear of the restaurant. Angelo and his team were outstanding! The quality and diverse selection of the food was second to none! Not only were our meat eaters satisfied, but so were our vegan and gluten free guests. Angelo and his staff were so attentive and accommodating. We highly recommend Cabo for anyone looking for a private party space but also for that nice dinner with friends. Great atmosphere and value.
