J+M’s Corner Canteen is a little hole in the wall style of place, a local joint that serves contemporary American staples, open early. It is near a high traffic intersection. The place has a restroom available inside. It is family-owned with a friendly staff and friendly service, with a smile. The food is phenomenal and always excellent. Standouts include the Jeff Salad, with lots of grilled chicken, the Avas Steak, The Fried Bologna, The Chili, The Mac and Cheese, The potato Salad, an assorted or an Italian, a delicious breakfast sandwich, and the Fisherman’s platter, fish fry clam chowder. There are plenty of Drinks and snacks to choose from and lots of grab and goes including pizza. It also offers Hoovers Diary products. It is the overall best value locally for the lunch rush, fair priced and consistently good, always get what was ordered on time ready to go.

Best fish fry in the area. Perfectly thin, crunchy beer batter, huge portion, and loads of waffle fries. Can't be beat for the price. Call early, though.

I ordered two Fish Fry Dinners last night (2/20/26) for pick up. When I arrived to pick them up my son and I immediately noticed the giant cookies that were by the check out. Needless to say, dessert was bought! We got home and began enjoying our meals. Everything was cooked well and was still warm and crispy when I got it home. So many times fried takeout is soggy by the time you get it home, this was not my experience last night. The fish fry was tasty without being too greasy....read full review

Awesome place to have out here in Cambria, Even better that the open at 5:30am, stopped in at open and had one of there delicious breakfast sandwiches.
