I enjoyed my visit today. I ordered the lunch special (meat, side, cornbread) and chose brisket and sweet potato. The brisket had great flavor, though next time I'll ask for leaner pieces as mine was fatty. Sweet potatoes were just right, not too sweet. Cornbread just ok. Things to know: 1. This place is tiny. There are just 4 bar seats and that's it. 2. Beverage options limited. Coke, sprite, water. 3. The service is amazingly friendly and personable. I didn't get the woman's name behind the counter but I'd go back there just to hang out with her. And it wasn't just me, she was that way with every customer including a 4 year old. You don't need to travel to come here but it's a good stop if you are nearby. Just 2 blocks off the Locust Valley train station.

Stuey's Smokehouse BBQ in Locust Valley is a barbecue lover's paradise! From the moment the Texas-style brisket was unwrapped before me, I knew I was in for a treat. Tender, peppery, and absolutely delicious! The BBQ sauce is a game-changer – peppery with a hint of red pepper heat, and a perfect balance of thickness and sweetness. Already planning my next visit. If you're a barbecue enthusiast, this is your spot.

We visited Stuey's on an unusually beautiful day in December after a hike through a local park. We were very excited about some good barbeque after our exercise. To say that Stuey's underwhelmed us would be an understatement. I'll start with the negatives. The staff was not very friendly. It seemed like we disturbed them during an off time of the day. Several of the menu items were unavailable and this "smokehouse" doesn't even smoke their chicken. In addition, the only place to sit was at the counter staring at the staff who were sitting on the other side of the counter staring at their phones. That meant that we had to take our BBQ to go, over a 30-minute drive. As for the food, the sausage was very good and would be the only reason I would stop back in at all - but only if I were in the neighborhood. The ribs were good, but nothing fantastic. All in all, I would probably not go back to Stuey's unless I was near by and wanted to pick up some sausage. Otherwise, I can get as good, if not better barbeque closer to home.

Food was amazing. We ordered the brisket sandwich, half chicken, corn bread, and sweet potatoes. Even my kid, who can be a picky eater, loved the food. Ambiance is cozy. We sat by the counter inside the restaurant. I believe there's outdoor seating, but we didn't have a chance to check it out. The service was also quick and the woman who took our order was super friendly.

Can't really give it any stars because we never got to eat anything...called last night and they didn't have most things on the menu, Like baby back ribs, sausage and out of most sides. How does a rib place NOT have ribs...? Can't blame it on supply chain issues any more...I guess just bad management.. Too bad according to most reviews it should have been good...

Didn't think exceptional BBQ existed on Long Island. Stuey's exceeded expectations. Brisket Sandwich, Ribs and sides were all cooked to perfection. Melted in our mouths. Highly recommend.

The place has room inside and a beautiful outside. Considering the weather was fabulous, we decided to stay outside. Once you come in, you are welcomed by friendly staff with a smile. The place smelled very promising! I ordered brisket, and my husband got half a rack of ribs and cole slow. My brisket was so juicy that it melted in the mouth. Every bite was so satisfactory! My husband's ribs were also delicious.

This is THE BEST barbecue ever. We had the brisket and the pulled pork lunch specials and both were outstanding. I am never cooking brisket myself again!!! We love eating in the outside garden. I can't say enough good things about this restaurant. Oh and the sweet potatoes are so, so good. Everyone is so nice and I always take their suggestions on what I should try.
