What happened to Brooklyn Bagels?

This used to be one of my favorite bagel spots, but the last few visits have been seriously disappointing. The cream cheese portions are so small that you practically have to ask for it on both sides just to taste it and the overall quality doesn’t feel like what it used to be.

The biggest surprise was the bacon—crispy, yes, but it had a strange fishy taste that completely ruined it for me. YUCK!

It’s frustrating to watch a local favorite cut back on the very things people come for. Sadly, I think it’s time to start looking for a new bagel spot.

Not impressed. There was no sugar available for customers, so I had to ask for some. Instead of simply helping, the employee appeared annoyed and mumbled something in Spanish. Being busy is understandable, but there’s no reason to be rude to customers for asking for a basic condiment that should be readily available. If you choose not to keep sugar out for customers, don’t get upset when people request it. And I will definitely not be back at this place , even though was going there for years !!!!!

My order was totally wrong… bagel was cold, i clearly said well toasted… check orders before leaving that place… extremely disappointed… will not b going back there ever again

The best bagels in the Astoria/ Jackson Heights area. Their baked goods are agidden gem.

Fast and friendly service, wide selection, and delicious, fresh bagels. It's hard to find spots that do tofu cream cheese and they have 3 varieties, which I really appreciate. It always comes in about 20 minutes when I order delivery. Went to pick up on a Sunday morning and was in and out in around 5 minutes. Inside vibe is very casual and comfortable. Not huge, but a decent amount of seating. Very efficient ordering and paying structure. Highly recommend!

The bagel and cream cheeses are good. My only complaint is that they use such a small amount of cream cheese. They put enough on to only spread across half of the bagel.

The bagels are righteously crispy flavorful crust with firm yet airy spongy interior, decidedly not bloated. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are served fresh into the afternoon and they’re perfectly balanced in proportion and taste. I had a clean protein bomb— the Villager. And a single origin drip coffee. All for less than a Starbucks equivalent if there was one. The staff was attentive, friendly and fun.

at first I was set back by the insane prices but once having a few menu items, I decided it was worth it. Staff is friendly for the most part and they definitely try to go above and beyond for a good customer experience. I ordered online through their app one time, and they over charged me for hash browns and they took care of it right away .
